People aren't asking about these ingredients *any more* because they know it's been tested and the amounts used do not cause brain damage. The tests have been done, extensively showing it's as safe as anything can get.

I didn't follow the drama because i stopped following kvd on social media and i'm not keen on this type of stuff at all, but I used to love her brand, even though it was way too expensive for my budget (i'm a uni student, with no job). When she went out with that post on instagram - OHMY - I felt like betrayed.

The Nyx Epic brush liner is my favourite and that tip doesn’t die, the bristles stay perfect and there is something like 1ml of product in that thing! It works like a dream and is is always juicy. It also stays better than the KVD one

It's the one I'm using instead of Kat's. I got a backup two weeks ago because I've had mine for at least over 6 months now (I do a thick wing every single day), but it's still as liquid and pigmented as the first day. The only downside is that it can be a bit runny.

Siv Valdimarsdóttir agree on the downside, but it also means you get perfect fine lines every time, and it’s preferable to ash dry. May I also comment that you have the most beautiful name. I love traditional Scandinavian names. We occasionally see them in Scotland, but it’s infrequent.

People seem to forget that the ml are listed on the KVD liners’ respective packaging. I have no love for KVD, and there are WAY better liners than the Tattoo Liner, but there’s no scam other than charging a high premium for mediocre product.

I pretty much exclusively use nyx eyeliner, I use the liquid one. I think it's the best eyeliner i've used personally. I've considered buying kat von d eyeliner in the past, however I've heard that it dries up super quick! Essence is a great brand, I've been using some of their products for a while now, I'll have to try their eyeliner!

Thankyou! I love LaSplash Art-ki-tekt so much, it's always been my go-to since I first used it and always recommend it to people but I never see it anywhere in these sorts of videos.
A quik word on using liquid lipsticks for eyeliner - if you intend to do this and use it for both lips and eyes, use separate brushes for applying to lips and eyes, clean them after every use and don't use the doe-foot applicator on your face ever to avoid getting mouth germs into your eyes.

The physicians formula eye booster in Ultra Black is basically the same as the KVD liner but its better, it lasted me ages wheras the KVD one dried out in two weeks. If you like brush tip liners go for it.
NYX eyeliner and theBalm shwwing are my favourite liquid liners though.

@@reereephillipsbeauty I think the eyebooster liner is Vegan, but they use beeswax in their mascaras and stuff. Make sure if you try it to get ultra black and when Priceline have 50% off sales its about $10 so its worth getting then.

Yes! The best ink eyeliner I have ever tried😍 It is so easy to make a wing, stays on all day, and is pretty budget friendly! I have tried so many expencive ones, they all bleed, dry out, makes a mess or just does not work. Physicians formula has made a perfect liner!

Liquid lipstick as eyeliner is great because you can also find way more color options. Also my favorite makeup brushes happen to be brushes I’ve picked up from an art store 🤷🏻‍♀️ they’re super precise and way cheaper than most brand brushes

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Black Moon Cosmetics! Their black "Sleepwalker" is the blackest matte black lipstick I have ever used and it stays on well when eating/drinking!!! Their stuff smells so good too! Can't wait to see you do a video using one of their lipsticks for multiple things!

This feels so weird, I never comment on any videos on RUclips. I have recently started getting interested in makeup again. I haven't wore any since I was a teenager(about 8-10 years ago), my husband said that I don't need it, which I agree, but I really enjoy the creative side of it. I've been using the essence eyeliner for about 10 years by now. It's only about €3/€4 and the applicator tip on it is way better than a lot of more expensive ones. The soap and glory marker one is pretty good too

I've been a huge fan of Kat since I was a teen but recently I have lost interest in her. I still use Shade & Light eye palette and will buy a new one when I hit pan because I love the product though, I'm not that much interested in who is behind the company as long as the products are cruelty free and great. Heck I don't even know who is behind most of my makeup products?
Anyway, I use Nyx matte liquid eyeliner and it has been my lifesaver. My eyes are very wrinkly (I'm almost 30 but they have pretty much always been) and it just glides on perfectly and stays on ALL DAY even though my eyes are very watery. Also it doesn't break the bank lol. I'd love to find a good gel eyeliner that isn't too expensive but we are very limited in what we can get in Finland.

Thats kind of my thoughts, especially with the foundation powder. I love the product, its light enough for my skin, and works. I just don't really bother with all the new stuff from her because I lost all interest. The main brands I get excited for are Black Moon Cosmetics and Lethal Cosmetics. Both cruelty free, vegan and independent women owned businesses

An amazing eyeliner I use all the time it lasts all day is the elf eyeliner which is literally like £8 ,not the pen one the black liquid one it’s amazing I’d highly recommend it,it doesn’t dry out either and lasts ages and it’s easy to apply

I highly recommended the Physician’s Formula Eye Booster liner in blackest black. It has an amazing brush and goes on so smoothly. It stays on all day and does not budge no matter how much I sweat!

Rachel Levin I love this one, too, but in NC summertime when The humidity is like 50-80%, it runs like a MF on me. So in winter I use PF, and summer I use the NYX epic ink. They’re both great!

I'm not the most confident with liner but I started using liquid lipsticks as liner two years ago and they're the best. Even without the proper brushes on hand you can take a new/old eyeliner applicator, clean it, and dip it in the lipstick to apply however you're used to. You have nearly every color imaginable, mattes, shimmers, glitters and more. I can also 1000% recommend Black Moon lipsticks for everywhere on the face, I have never bought or used so many of anything else, I love them so much. :D

Hi ree ree , I’m from the uk and the best liquid eyeliner for me is “collection “ fast stroke eyeliner .
There’s also a waterproof option.
It’s not expensive and it lasts a very long time , it’s my go to eyeliner nothing else compares .

Honestly, I use a $5 rimmel waterproof eyeliner, the same brand and type I've been using for nearly 7 years. It stays well as long as I do my make up properly. I've looked for another to love that is reasonably priced, but they have all fallen short. I'll have to try out the LA Splash eyeliners. I mostly stuck with the same one for purchase convenience and price, but I have been abusing my Amazon Prime lately, so I'll probably start ordering all my makeup off of there as well.

I’m not sure why this is such a scandal. In the US, there are several laws pertaining to labeling including weight. Love or hate KVD, I don’t think any cosmetic company would want to get caught mislabeling products. There are fines, possible felony charges, jail time, and civil litigation can be huge.

Late to the party.. but the full fall out from thinhs like this showed they were including package weight...when it was labeled product weight. The companies responsible just said oops... and no fines were issued compared to the money they made.

There's also a really good models prefer wet look eyeliner, that comes in a bootle. It doesn't actually come out looking glossy but its great for really small details. I believe they are about $16 from priceline in australia and they've lasted me a good amout of time.

I used to swear by the essence one, but I found that the newer ones I got were all kind of liquidy and kind of patchy and didn't apply as smooth as they used to, I don't know what happened there. But I found the Rival de Loop Calligraphy eyeliner is a good substitute

This was SO HELPFUL! I was almost ready to go with the Stila one before watching this. Essence is a brand I use, it's sold in the Netherlands too. I was pleasantly surprised at the point they went vegan. I used that liquid ink eyeliner since my teens, and I'll never want anything else!

Thanks for your honest opinion. I bought the tattoo liner of kvd, it seemed a bit dry after a short time. I use the nyx ink waterproof now, just half the price and it is not worse than the kvd and furthermore a liquid liner of Catrice (a sister company of essence)

You surprised me with putting Sleepwalker on your eyes! I have it, but it sort of „melts” in the corners of my lips and makes me look like I had a bad drippy corpse paint 😅 Also it is not kissproof, transfers to everything that touches it, so I can’t imagine it as an eyeliner. I wish Blackmoon Cosmetics had the kissproof level of Golden Rose liquid matte lipsticks - I love those, they stay way better on the lips, but they don’t have a black one. I want to love Blackmoon cosmetics too, their Luna topper is beyond amazing, but I can’t say the same about Sleepwalker, which makes me really sad, because its performance prevented me from getting their entire lipstick collection lol

Wet n wild has a waterproof liquid liner and it is BUDGEPROOF. I mean it barely comes off with OIL yall. Oil. I have to rub a little bit more but makeup removal is relaxing for me, also its only a few dollars so I'd recommend trying it out

Essence powder used to be nice and come in very light shades! Im pale as hell lol as for eyeliner im currently using an older boe beauty $2 liquid eyeliner, its very pigmented and lasts so well, its a spinge tip applicator but i can use it very well

I was looking for some advice and stuff about it (here in Italy it's something like 20 euros) and for me it's a bloody crapload of money for an eyeliner, since I don't have already money on my own and should ask parents! So, I do trust you and your raccomendations on makeup and I think I will 100% switch for something else. Actually right now I'm still using the Kiko liquid liner and it's damn great!!! I've been using it for over a year by now and it never let me down... Can't waste any money on something not so much worthy! Hi ReeRee! Great video. Thank you so much for the tips on eyeliner. I'm having trouble finding something dark enough that doesn't smudge. I also never thought of using liquid lipstick. I'm definitely getting one in black. I'd be interested in a tutorial of how to use liquid lipstick as an eyeshadow base. You're the best 😄😘
