Well presented video, really enjoyed it. Brought back some good memories. Back in the late 70s a friend and I joined a club which had a big pit just down the road from where I lived which had depths to 90ft+, we started off fishing the margins which went down to about 18ft but the bites slowed right off as we approached winter so we tried different depths and started to catch fish in an area of around 40-45 ft, baiting with boilies (all home made in them days) and lots of maple peas, we used home made spods made from cut down shampoo bottles, everything had to be homemade in them days, but it was bloody good fun. Back in the summer we also caught fish using a boilie fished under a sliding pike float set at about 9ft so as long as it wasn't too windy we tried it in the winter and found that we could catch fish off the bottom at around 30ft. Never fished a place like it since. Looking forwad to see how you get on
Great vid as always jack 💪🏼 regarding water freezing in deeper lakes I believe it’s to do with the dense water sinking to the bottom which is replaced by cooler less dense water until the whole system is below 40ish degrees then the surface begins the freezing process, that’s what I was told anyway so in theory deeper lakes take longer to complete this process 🤷🏻♂️ who knows maybe it’s bull but that’s what I was told 😂👍🏼 tight lines 🎣
Hello. I need to watch the whole thing but I like it. you can see that it's winter and not like in a few films of carp anglers from the UK "title: winter carps" and they are sitting in t shirts. Regards
I fish also a deep lake some places, is over 100 feet deep here by the banks it's already 10 feet deep, I struggle do get bites and the water is clear and alot of thick grass, any suggestions what to do?
How do you become a memeber who do I contact . Ive sent some messages out already enquiring but waiting to hear back. I'm already fishing a 50ft lake myself so really interested in this place. Your doing well with the depth dont let the depth put you off I caught a 35lber from 35ft water on a solid bag so 👌 be confident we'll done
Can get some info for you mate if you’re interested. Nice, solid bags are a regular tactic id use, especially with maggots but I was concerned what would happen to them under the pressure? I guess if you’ve caught they must be okay in those depths. The foam I was using as hook baits was shrinking to half the size, assumably under the pressure in that depth. Madness
@@JACKSCARPFISHINGUK yes bags are fine even pop ups are fine . Solid bag was out 14 hours then had the bite so they are deffo fine in the depths . If you could get me some info on joining that be great thanks 😊

@@JACKSCARPFISHINGUK happy new year mate! Will catch up soon👍🏻🍻
Im on a similar venue try double bagging to get the bait right down great vid will defo keep watching
Thank you mate! I tried double bagging with the mesh but it made little difference to the melt time, perhaps solid bags doubled up would be better.
