    EV mode, AKA "parking lot mode". Used after you fill up with gas at Costco & drive to the store entrance.

      It's just the electric motor and atkinson engine working as a off/on pair. The electric motor will kick in at low speeds, and the engine will kick in at high speeds and charge the battery while doing so; sometimes the engine and the motor will work simoutanously, to deliver more power, while other times the motor will regenerate the kinetic energy.

    Does it have regenerative braking?

      Hi Josie, thank you for your inquiry. The 2010 Prius is equipped with regenerative braking. We hope this helps. ^JR

      IT is not a full electric......if you want to go further on electric buy a Nissan Leaf or Chevy Volt........but make sure you drive within its limits.....or you will be on the side of the road .......that will never happen in a Prius......you can drive from coast to coast.....not so with ALL the others......

    • @flamingspinach
      @flamingspinach Год назад

      @@adrianotero7963 the Chevy Volt also has a gas tank so you can drive from coast to coast in it too
