Well Johnny, he never disappoint from motor troubles to fishing in rivers to catching big reds and cuttle Fish. You taking mates out and just having an amazing time on the water. There’s always something to watch. Thank you for posting Johnny.
Indeed it was such a long journey to get your new Yamaha 300hp Outboard at Yamba and thank you for good friends to help you out along the journey. Good to see you back in Airlie safely again back into the water with some good mates. The video was amazing and hope you enjoyed the Yamaha new Outboard. Well done John and will be seeing you soon in Airlie ❤
Shoulda called this one "Total Drama Island!" 🤣 Keepin' it real Johnny! Another great episode. Incredible footage as we've come to expect. Loved the swarm of spangled's!
Epic journey! There’s no one more dedicated bro. Love the passion. Thanks for sharing the journey with us. And back in time fit another magic session. Excited to get amongst with you soon bro.
Great vid mate. Was great to catch up. Few obstacles to overcome in the journey to re power all added to the adventure. Great to see you back home and out getting amongst it 👌
Great content. Love your videos and how genuine you are. On another note, and not being nasty. 66km/h at 102litres per hour… that’s probably some of the worst fuel economy/performance of any trailerable boat on the market .
How many hours were on the old 300? Digital steering is pretty nice - although the boat next to me in my marina had his 2023 300 yammie steering go haywire this summer in a narrow canal at 8mph,and it steered him into a wall. Yamaha picked up the $7000 repair bill for the damage to the bow of his boat, but still scary stuff. I'm still leery of the digital steering - the seastar hydraulic is kind of idiot proof. love your stuff johnny thanks for sharing.
I had 2,400 hrs on the old engine. I had a Seastar hydraulic steering system previously. It played up twice and had split in the hose so all the steering fluid leaked out. So far the DES in the Yamaha has been amazing with the autopilot. See how it goes after I do a few more trips in it. 😀
@@johnnychowjc oh well then you got your moneys worth out of that motor, plus you can sell it as a running take off. Repowering was probably a good move! those 4.2L 300s are workhorses - had you not hit the whale/turtle/whale turtle/turtle whale and blown up the lower you certainly could have gotten 5000 on it i reckon! Seastar isnt without its weaknesses for sure. I need to do seals on my hydraulic arms they leak a little, and my trim/tilt seals all need replacing this winter (i have a grady 257 with twin F150s). My cousin has an identical 236 to yours, same color and all.

Great video always a pleasure to watch as you do all the hard work we just seat back and watch.
Thank you very much Russell!! Lots of time editing! Haha
Another great video JOHNNY, looked like a big effort getting back out on the water mate hats off to you 👍🏿
No one sees the effort required to maintain a boat sometimes haha. Just thought I would share some of the challenges we all face at times!

Thanks for watching the videos mate. Yeah she’s a heavy boat and I’m already at max horse power. Very costly to run this boat! 😜

@@johnnychowjc the yamaha integrated autopilot is worth the price of entry though in my opinion. i wish i had an AP!
good luck with the new engine. hows it is? as always brilliant video
New engine is great, thank you! 😀
That is a lot of water in the hull mate! Is the boat leaking?
If you watched the video I mentioned that we left the bungs out by accident mate 😀
Hi Johnny. Out of curiosity, why did you travel so far to Yamba for your new outboard?
I knew the owner of the dealership and he could organise a new engine for me within a few days with reliable service and excellent pricing for me. 😀
👍👏
johnny how do you afford all or this
I work my butt off when I’m not on the water and deal with the stresses of owning a business. 😀
Working hard for what you want makes it more valuable to you and more enjoyable when you get to use it ❤
