Does the pressure from a tampon impact (reduce) urinary flow, and if so, how extensive can the effect be? I feel like I've heard about holding the string back or otherwise out of the "flow zone", is this ever done to reduce pressure on the urethral meatus (urinary opening)?
No it dosen’t. It’s two different holes, 2 different ”tubes/leaders/straws” (don’t know the english Word, but the urethra) The tampon has no pressure of contact with the urethra at all.
@@zannadunstrand6289 Okay, my thought was that there could be pressure applied through the vaginal wall upon the urethra, but I suppose even a near-fully saturated "ultra-absorbent" (large diameter) tampon is not sizable enough for such an effect to be noticeable.
