- We were blown away after playing Jump Ship, a new 4-player co-op sci-fi PvE game that mixes Sea of Thieves, Left 4 Dead, and FTL by having you and three friends man your space ship together, then land on planets and take on missions for loot rewards. It's in development for PC and Xbox.
Helldivers 2 success is giving us PvE enjoyers more to look forward to with these incoming PvE games. Love it!
And we need more of it.
Its a little early to attribute this games existence to Helldivers 2
Imagine if Activision-Blizzard didn't fire the PvE team for Overwatch 2.
@@tolmat Exactly. It takes several years for a game to reach this point.
About time
Hope more co-op games are being created, Im sick of competitive and repetitive games (grind).
100%.
PvP just isn't nearly as fun.
PvE game and maybe a PvP mode / minigame in it, but it should always be a PvE focus - where you can actually play and have fun with friends.
same, hopefully helldivers 2 success cause more devs to make coop games
SAMEE
hopefully helldivers and palworld created a trend
Co-op games are only fun if you have friends
@@SpartanH2O Don't forget Deep Rock Galactic
Love the indie teams coz they are the only ones who know that the purpose of a game is Fun.
Once they’re bought up it will be for money…
No one will be playing this in a month
@@EmperorOfMan And you're basing that on what?
@@TheCassual History
@@EmperorOfMan People are still playing even Sea of Thieves which isn't even that remarkable of a game. Or is your metric of success stuff like CoD or Fortnite? There's a huge market for these kinds of games lmao.
There's clearly a market for these types of games, and they aren't as niche as people think. Why a triple AAA studio hasn't made a game like this yet is beyond me.
They’ve tried lmao. They always flop. Starfield, No Mans Sky, Star Citizen, Void Crew and a plethora of others
@@TheLegendBruh Starfield is single-player. Star Citizen is more a simulation than an actual game. No Man Sky is a different kind of game, its survival/exploration and you’re 1 person per ship which like a fighter. Void Crew is not triple-A lol
@@TheLegendBruh No man's Sky did not flopped at all, it's still counting a quite a high player base, and are still pushing huge updates. StarCitizen is far from flopping too, as it has currently raised more than 600 million dollars, and is still in active development stage.
Just because you don't play a game doesn't mean it flop :)
Check out Railjack in Warframe. Pretty much the exact same thing with better combat and more interesting enemies.
@@TheLegendBruh No Man's Sky was not a AAA game.
I'm totally in for PvE games.
Buy an Xbox, the Tower of Power. Its not on PS5
People buy ps5's? Silly casuals@@ashokathegreat4534
@@ashokathegreat4534 lol why buy an xbox when it's on pc
@@BluesB0x because some people dont like installing drivers every time you start the game….or crashes
@@ashokathegreat4534 tell me you don't play PC games without telling me you don't play PC games 😔
I’m hype for this. I’m always down for games developed by small teams because if the passion that gets put into them.
You just said the magic word: PVE and PVE vs AI is incredible. I'm buying this immediately when it's available.
People are acting like borderlands didn't exist for over 10 years lol
@@PABLOGELObro many people don't want to replay the same game for ever
wait, what is PVE not when not vs AI?
@@adamdraeger2605AI uses machine learning to adapt to situations. Non-AI NPCs have a set code "if see_player = attack == 1". They're more predictable.
"Void Crew" is another Sea of Thieves in space like game but it lacked personal combat and objectives outside the ship like this is offering. I'm excited to hear more about this and this genre of virtual space exploration
There's also Pulsar: Lost Colony which is a few years older.
It seems the indie devs are the future of gaming. All these triple A developers have gotten to greedy and seem to have forgotten games are about fun not cosmetics stores
So this game won't have any microtransactions?
@@thumpertron im not sure im kind of talking more in general about triple A games. Any game can have micro transactions but the greed of these bigger developers is kind of crazy.
Devs haven’t forgotten anything it’s publishers that are pushing the mtx hard. Don’t mix the two up.
Budgets are also so large now that no one is really going to risk it on new and potentially bad / weak / risky ideas. Double edged sword.
Looks like the experience can be bite sized star citizen fun.
I'm game.
This is what happens when you let big businesses/corporations buy up all studios and start making games. We see it everywhere in our society.
looks better than starfield
Yeah you're so right. This looks better than Starfield! 😮
And it’s also on Xbox and PC only.
That’s not a very high bar to clear
Being better than Starfield is such a low bar.
Yeah. It is like you would say Gran Turismo looks better than Mario Kart. 😂
It's like all the fun parts of Star Citizen stuck together without any of the bad or boring bits.
it's a year of small studio boys. Helldivers2, Palworld, and this!!!
Helldivers 2 small studio? Arrowhead Games has more than 100 employees. That's not so small compared to less than 10 employess of Keepsake Games.
@@IntoTheAmazingBox small compare to big companies.
@@TheCorgies 100 people is still not at all small. And they have a giant publisher behind them. Helldivers 2 is great but don't compare it to games such as this
@@IntoTheAmazingBox100 devs is absolutely minuscule for the amount of players they are having to manage. Not sure what you are on about
@@Xl_Fenrir_lXplayer count has nothing to do with dev effort.
Hopefully the enemy types isn't just robots, give us some aliens or other intelligent life forms.
PvE? I'm sold already!
Jump Ship, as a big fan of Scifi Space Open World Games, i'm already solded by this one, and gotta say this looks like Starfield, but even bigger and better, they fixed Starfield! 😮
What did they fix in Starfield?
It looks nothing like starfield. Lol (it looks much better then starfield)
So ambitious, really hope the weight of said ambition doesn't crumble this release!!!...
Right up my alley. Wishlisting this immediately
this looks really fun, is there a steam page or something?
yeah it's also got a trailer
Cool. I'm adding it
So no console?
@@kanyenorth2605 did you watch the whole video? It will be shipped to PC and Xbox

I've been waiting for a game like this all my life.
The ship upgrading and repairs sounds like a nice addition to helldivers formula
This looks amazing!!! Idk why they never made genesis alpha one multiplayer
This actually looked really fun!
Looks pretty dope. Basically a millennium falcon crew on a job.
There's a reason why payday 2 and l4d2 still have a playerbase. PvE is something people that have little time to game go to for fun. Hackers in pve are way less frustrating as well.
You know. 4 player co op isn’t some law of gaming. Thus feels like a 6 person crew would fit just fine
So new and improved Pulsar the last colony. Cool
PvE has always been the goat. PvP is fun but thats where frustration lies in most gamers experiences. The amount of times I've heard rage, lets just enjoy games again
Left 4 dead gameplay sold me say no more
You should try Deep Rock Galactic
Immediately wishlisted on Steam. I'm super hyped about this game and will be watching it closely. Holy crap what an amazing premise!
This looks great for a game without a release date.
This sounds like void crew im here for it .
heres to hoping it runs better then void crew, excited none the less
@@theslicer4430 amen lol
They've taken the Warframe gameplay loop that Warframe has been slowly creeping towards for ten years with its many minigames, gamemodes, and craftables but have never seamlessly completed, and refined it into a single playable game. If they make an expansive gameworld like No Man's Sky this game could be killer for the spacefaring online genre.
Space Barotrauma, (same as Void Crew) totally into these team mobile base type games. Im glad different devs are getting into the genre.
If this is done right it will definitely pop off. Looks so fun.
Being on the outside of the ship while it rotates is wild. Plus it has that Anthem flying.
VR needs a game like this!
Deep Space Battle Simulator
Been playing VR for 7+ years. It needs a LOT OF CONTENT lol
PlayStation:You want Helldivers 2?.. pass
Xbox: You want Jump Ship?
PlayStation:......okay hear me out
Difference being Jump Ship is coming to PlayStation once it leaves it's early access status since it's a multiplatform project, Helldivers is a PlayStation IP
Take. My. $! You guys are automatically gonna get all the Elite Dangerous console players that got abandoned by Frontier.
Looks amazing. I’m very excited for this. The only downside so far is the lack of actual roles, only one ship role is pilot, leaving the other 3 to look like they’re not really doing much during flight. Makes sense for solo players but when rocking a full squad there should be more to do.
Reload ship weapons, man turrets outside, repair shields, and more is needed for the other crew members to not feel left out. Maybe a snub fighter too could help.
why do you to be forced into roles just to figure out to fight fires, repair the ship and upgrade parts when necessary?
This description sounds perfect! Let's go!
Thank You Game Pass💚
The Swedes are saving gaming with these recent gems.
Swedish developers be taking W’s lately.
This type of gameplay. This is how Skull and Bones should've been done.
Also reminds me of Guns of Icarus on Steam. This looks much more fun.
My fellow Swedes making me proud. 😮 Can't wait to play this myself.
This could be great - co-op PvE is hitting the spot so much these days. Deep Rock Galactic revealed the path for co-op squad based PvE IMO, Helldivers 2 proving it works when done properly.
Deep Rock Galactic with a spaceship. I'm sold.
Cool. It looks like the same kind of gameplay as Void Crew.
Finally, a game that isn't competitive pvp only
Aw man seeing left 4 dead in the thumbnail then realising they meant this is another game like it hurt my soul
Dude this looks fantastic. It looks like what Anthem should have been.
u need friends first :(
Friends is one thing, but friends that have the same availability and schedule as you. As a guy with kids, it means I’ll probably never get to play this one unfortunately
It needs a LOT more color and contrasts. The dull grey and tan doesn't help it stand out.
So..... here's the 5 BILLION DOLLAR question that probably draws a BLANK still... what happens if you DONT* have 2 friends to play alongside? "DOH!"
Difficulty will scale with player count, and there's smaller ships made for smallers crews
FTL gives me vibes of what a Mass Effect multiplayer couldve been
Never thought I'd find myself thumbs-upping something from IGN these days.
More of this, industry. Make it weird, make it fun, make it passionately.
Ship movements looked a bit clunky for now, If the space map is big enough I'll play this for sure tho
My ultimate space fantasy is having 3 space friends
this looks AWESOME
"fly like superman" while clearly flying like ironman lol
This is quickly becoming one of my most anticipated games. When is this coming?!?
Sounds more like how Star Citizen is shaping up than Sea of Thieves
3D Lovers in a Dangerous Space Time
Im in! Keep bringing the space games! Every game keeps adding a new layer to ehst would ultimately be ky dream soace game. Something where you can travel in a fully custimizable ship, move around the ship, travel, etc.
Seems like the space game era is making a comeback!
This looks fun. Right up my alley. Will be keeping an eye on this.
Must be nice to have friends.
This looks like what Railjack in Warframe promised.
Seems like the abandoned 0x10c Mojang game but on a whole new level. Looks pretty interesting.
This looks really cool. My main hope is that like L4D, you can play solo with three other AI bots.
There's a game very close to this that came out last year called voidcrew if anyone is looking for something like this now, has everything here minus the dedicated fps combat part and its criminally underplayed
A Star Wars Republic Commando Mod would be crazy lol.
Omg, missed these kinds of games!
This looks amazing. Cannot wait to play.
Sure hope this works out, super neat idea and if done well it should do just fine.
Well, kinda happy this is only Xbox and Steam. Gonna be nice to have something special with the lack of exclusives lately.
SOLD. That looks GREAT!!!
Yes, YEs, YES!
Looks like a more fps shooter focused void crew which is more focused on ship part
CO-OP PVE is the future
Love how they abbreviate FTL like we know what it stands for lol
they aren't abbreviating anything, that's what the game is called. The name of that game is an abbreviation, but you can figure that out by literally going and looking for the game.
Real ones know what FTL is. If not, been sleeping on all time great indie titles
It's a game literally called FTL.
However, FTL stands for 'faster than light' as in hyperspace
Ok it’s pretty clear u know nothing about sci fi stuff
@@fenrirsfolly92 thanks for pointing out the obvious 😁
Imagine a conversation with guy at breakfast
You've sold me ! .....
No wait..... only PC and Xbox. oh well.
Looks awesome. Please keep us updated.
Serious question, what if you're jumping into this game without friends to play with? Is it possible to solo? Is there going to be a LFG feature to put you in a game with randoms?
dang, this looks fun as heck
Looks like this one has serious potential, indie devs get it.
Better exploration mechanics than starfeild
Staring at a dull brick building has better exploration than Starfield
The golden age of Indie games is upon us.
Can’t wait to try this on PC!
so its Guns of Icarus in Sci-fi Theme
Can't heckin wait for this
Reminds me of genesis alpha one, one of my fave indie space game
This is essentially Pulsar: Lost Colony
This is awesome! Is there a l release date or demo coming? And what platform?
Imagine this with an Aliens license!
Do the non-pilots do anything besides handle fires. It seems a missed opportunity to not have them manage offensive systems
This is what Warframe tried to do with the Railjacks
Can CO-OP be not generally always four players? With five friends you always have someone left out.
