Is the free will given to us from God just for if we believe or don't believe? or is it for use to sin or not sin when we are tempted also? In other words take us to Romans 7, is the free will from God to be used in deciding between law or Grace? Some say we have to work for righteousness in addition to just faith in Jesus Christ and Him crucified, if so this means we are willfully deciding to sin or not to sin not relying strictly on what Christ did to atone for all sin.
Bro.Larson. restating, when we are shifting from Jesus Christ and what He did for us, to man's wisdom, we're stepping away from the internal supernatural power of God,it's all about them,is that opening the door to demonic oppression, would manifestations follow, which the Christian thinks it's of God as Jesus name is used, when its demonic.. can that happen. Thank you for your teaching.
The message of the cross is the gospel, the gospel is faith in christ. Most churches today teach works based salvation. Turning from sins and doing good works to be saved. But Paul, and jesus have both said salvation is by grace through faith in christ and NOT works, lest any man should boast. Too many churches teach "you must turn from all sin and do good works to be saved." That is NOT the gospel.
The Message of the Cross is not as some see it condemnation. It is Gods way of reconciling mankind to Himself through Jesus Christ. Christ is the Way. Some churches/cults want to gain influence and power, by taking the place of Jesus.
Most churches know how to be Saved. Salvation comes by and through what Jesus Christ did at the Cross. Now here’s the part where “most churches don’t” is because they don’t understand how to follow Jesus everyday after being Saved. Most will point you too groups, counseling or something else other than placing your faith in Jesus Christ for whatever it is that you need help in or with. Colossians 2:6 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him. Hope this helps!
Here's a question that I hope you will answer in a future session (and I think it is a very important one that many need the answer to regarding sanctification through the Message of the Cross.) Assuming that a person is a true born-again Christion and they have placed their faith exclusively in the finished work of Jesus and what he accomplished on the Cross, how should one proceed regarding any addiction? Let's say that there is an addition in that person's life, and they have submitted it to the Lord, what are they to do when temptation comes? There seems to be a conflicting message that comes forth from various ministers at JSM/FWC. Some say just have faith, continually pray for deliverance and in due time you will be delivered (but that doesn't answer the question of what to do with the temptation.) Is one to yield to the temptation rather than striving with all his might not to yield? I understood one JSM/FWC minister to say to do just that while continuing to place their faith exclusively in Jesus. That seems to be a large contradiction. So, in a every day practical sense, what is a person supposed to do? Thank you very much!
The person is supposed to believe. When you step into the realm of “ doing something “ you have entered into works, which guarantees failure. Look unto Jesus Christ and what He has done. Looking at the failures doesn’t solve the problem.
So, Bro.Larson, when the object of faith has shifted from Jesus Christ and Him Crucified, then, it becomes man's wisdom, what I do, my calling,my anointing, my Prophetic ministry, my prayers,my visions, on and on,so when that shift happens, (wrong belief,)then is that opening the door to demonic oppression? Can the Christian have paranoia? Thanks
Is there any reason you are not quoting from the Expositor’s Study Bible (ESB)? I noticed this because “the cross of Christ” did not have “cross” capitalized like the ESB does. Sarah
Good word

The Message of the Cross is the Gospel . Then why do you all say none or most of the churches are not preaching this ??

Can we pinpoint when and why the sin nature takes up resistance within our flesh starting in the garden till present day as a believer?
