I totally agree and ppl need to stop the unnecessary hate towards it, if it wasnt for AHL the boys wud have never appreciate the hip hop culture that they embraced..plus MNet had an agenda due the lack of clout the boys brought and it was revealed they made those crigney episodes on purpose, the white kid who hated on JK/Jimin admitted he was told to do so by the producers of the show for content. what MNet failed to realise that it made the boys stronger, took all that so called forced hate and grew them into the mega stars today....now look who wanna used them now for clout huh and ratings.,....when they wanted to bring them down...

To know more about what they really went through in depth, the hardships that ppl choose to overlook to keep their shallow view of our boys. How can you call yourself an ARMY without enduring the same things with them even through videos? I want everything that BTS wants to share with us. All the cringe, all the tear-jerkers, all the LOL-worthy, all the love... everything!!! I'm with them through everything idc.

Let's not miss the steps that they take, I've been on the journey since February 08 2013 and to any baby Armies out there, don't skip any part of the Bangtan journey. Plus it wasn't such a bad show, yeah there were parts that pissed me off, it wasn't a bar show and the boys took away lessons that they still use today. I remember when Nate and Tony took them to the poor part of the city to give back to the community and they donate a lot to charity and that's not the only take away either

    • @robwebnoid5763

I never thought it was cringey at all. If people are/were "mostly" referring to Coolio, I knew he was going to act that way, as I've known him since he debuted in the mid 1980's. This is hiphop & being aggressive is part of that culture. I mean just look at BTS Cypher lyrics as one tiny example. Besides, half of AHL was scripted anyway. Sure, other parts might have been cringey but that was part of the fun. It's not all fun & games folks. Some ARMY only think of it that way AFTER THE FACT. And Coolio was the "bad cop" of the "good cop bad cop" act, basically a drill seargant type of character, to whip the boys into shape & "learn the ways of hiphop from the masters" which was the motto of AHL in the first place. People have to remember that practically all of K-Pop is rooted in US-American music. Had Seo Taiji never made a socio-cultural & musical impact in the early 1990's introducing Rock & Hiphop western music to South Korea, then K-Pop would have never been born & BTS would have never existed. That is not an exaggeration. Without Taiji, South Korea might still be performing traditional ancient Korean music, including Japanese trot & ballads. Sure, AHL was a reality show, but it was not a vacation either. Instead, it was a schooling environment, which made BTS better & grounded to the way they should know hiphop, making their music more authentic & genuine to this day.

When Nate and Tony brought them to Skid Row to give back to those less fortunate, they also showed the boys how to listen to and learn from what the folks there had to teach them. Now that I watched it with you guys... I just felt that I need to watch your reaction again for AHL.... I truly appreciated how they are passionate about what they are doing... they do this job because they love it.... Even some people don't appreciate their work... They just accept both good and bad... it made them who they are today... all their hard work paid off... there are no easy path... but they made it... I'm so proud of them... 💜💜💜

saw American hustle at its release and I was so frustrated that bts didn't have a translater for them... some of the situations, that happened gave me so much 2nd hand embarrassment and also a bit cringe because of how the situation turned out...

they had a translator but most of the stuff happened were forced by MNet until Bang PD had to step in, hence why from i think ep3 and so on u saw a difference on how they were treated

Well, not to be a stick in the mud, but i think it's good experience to not have a translator for anyone if they really want to learn and immerse themselves. You can only truly learn something when you're trust into it like metaphorically butt-naked/stripped naked. Like a "survival" game. In my experience, I learn languages better when I'm thrust into a situation that force me to think, speak, and listen to the language almost 24/7 instead of through textbooks or online.

I just finished AHL. I had put it off since there was some controversary around it. There was some difficult parts to watch, but overall I really enjoyed it. This was so early in their career and was really a cornerstone to their success. They were like sponges at this stage and they soaked it all in! They stay humble and teachable; that's a big part of their overall success. I loved AHL (and Rise of Bangtan).

Hi, I am back. Great reaction, ty. American Hustle life was important. I feel like they learned a lot of very valuable lessons being here. Yes, it was cringe but beneficial nonetheless. Iris by the way is the lady that inspired Sister Act! I love those movies. I plan to watch this show eventually too. Like Jin can beat box come on! That is so cool. JK got to come to USA twice once on his own. The agency really invested a lot in him and the others. They did as much as they could. Love this series. Hugs. Love u. -NY USA Army💟
First : that Iris woman who was giving them vocal lessons? Her life was the inspiration for the movie Sister Act! How cool is that?
    Jennifer Mann said on 2/18/22
They were in LA for 2 weeks filming American Hustle Life. They didn't show how the show actually began, with a kidnapping prank. All the boys were in a van and their manager went into a building to get something (he knew what was going to happen) and a bunch of men came into the van and drove BTS to a different building. Once inside they were eventually told it was all a prank. But poor J-Hope and Jungkook (who was just 16 at the time) were so scared they looked like they were on the verge of tears. After it was over Jungkook said he was worried he would never see his parents again and was worried he was going to be sold off. But imagine being in a foreign country not knowing how to speak English and something like that happening to you. Some of the members probably figured it was something related to the show, but you could tell they weren't aware what was going to happen. One of my favorite parts of American Hustle Life was seeing them on the streets of LA handing out flyers for their free concert. Trying to explain to complete strangers who they were. And then they had a mini concert at the Troubadour in LA. Who knew just over 7 years later they have 4 sold out shows at SoFi Stadium in LA. BTS story is just so inspirational, it makes you believe anything is possible.

Thank you for continuing this series with us fam! It started of where I was imagining that twig hairstyle on Blaze, idk why! LOL!!!
I am glad that TRoB was able to include this, as you've said a lot of people hated this reality show but it's a big part of Bangtan's growth. Just so much were sentimental for me too, esp the part where they were giving back. And knowing that up to today, they are still doing this as big supporters of Black lives Matter and a lot more charities out there.
I love what has become of our boys as they were able to surpass these all!! I'm so proud of them! T_T

AHL was a mixed bag, to put it kindly; but some of BTS's mentors were very kind to them, and one stands out to me in particular: Miss Iris. That lady was an angel (maybe V's angel?). I like to think that some of her sweet, shining spirit lives on in the guys today.

Dang...AJJ got me twice instantly... with the kit kats and that comment on Coolio's hair! I was like...bruh...nooooo, I done choked on my water! 😂 thanks for continuing to react and post though guys! I know there were a lot of people who did not like AHL... and I totally get it but the guys all came out of it saying they felt that they received meaningful lessons and grew as artists and people. So, I appreciate the series for that. I loved the Warren G episode... especially when they got so happy that Warren G liked kimchi! I loved Jungkook, V and Suga with Miss Iris... and watching the deeper bond between Jin and Hope learning to beatbox and Jimin and Joon with the b-boy routine... those were all wonderful to watch. AND the guys invited their tutors to come see the small concert they held at that venue in LA. They really appreciate people, talent and the meshes and lessons they can get from everywhere. That's one of the MANY reasons that Namjoon, Seokjin, Yoongi, Hoseok, Jimin, Taehyung, and Jungkook are seven incredibly admirable human beings. Truly blessed to have found them when I really needed something to help shed a little bit of light in my dark corner of this world. I hope everyone finds that same feeling in their lives. Thanks again for your thoughts and reaction fellas! Stay Gold! L💜
