Thank you! Can you please explain to me if in fact it is just replacing the fuel filler neck, why does that cause my acceleration to mess up? Why is the rpm and speed so slow and pressing on the gas just feels like it doesn’t make it go any faster. How would the fuel filler neck mess with the speed? I’d assume it would just eat up my gas but it’s just not letting me drive past 15-20mph it did this to me earlier this year but I changed the purge valve and it was fine after but now that p0456 is back!
had my purge valve stuck open and replaced new 2 years ago, lately i have the "very small leak" code and the tell tale sign its faulty again because my car stalls initially when i fill my gas tank up BUT ive tested the valve by taking it out of the circuit and hearing it click with a 9v battery so im not sure how the fumes are being pushed into my block
I have 09 ford focus first I had a p0451 code, I changed the fuel tank pressure sensor. Check engine light went away for like a week and half then I got the p0456 code. I changed out my purge valve and check engine light has not come off. I haven't tried that smoke method yet maybe that'll work but idk any mechanics that have a smoke machine though.
I have a 2019 Ford Escape and my engine light came on at 65k miles. I go to Midas and they told me I needed my fuel injection system cleaned. I Paid like 600 bucks when that was my code. And guess what 3 days later my light was on again! Autozone said I needed some gadget and it was only $75. So now I have to go back to midas and if they have the audacity to tell me now I need the piece to fix the small leak I'm going to be mad! They charged me 600 for something I probably didn't even need!!!
If my car had an O2 sensor issue that when untreated cause it would pop on and off with no reasoning.... should i start there before replacing the valve?
Hey buddy i have 2014 ford f150 and 6 months ago i had a code that was reading P0455 I figured out what it was and I changed the purge valve yesterday I got the same exact code on my truck again this would be the second time I would change the purge valve any ideas on what else could be happening
@@tristinsanchez9983 I would check all the air connections on the evap system and the electrical plugs on the purge valve, also clean the gas cap seal if you have the Easy Fill capless system on your gas filler inlet.

My fiesta also stalls when I add fuel.

Have you tried deleting your check engine light codes?
From what i have read on other posts, once you find issue the code will go away after some driving? Is this true? 2017 ford escape 1.5 L
Yes, once it is fixed, it will go away once a drive cycle is completed. You can Google your vehicle drive cycle and do the steps to speed it up.

Fuel injector cleaner costs like $15 and all you gotta do is put it in your gas tank you got scammed like crazy

Usually, a 02 sensor and EVAP problem are separate issues. If the purge valve is stuck open, it may affect it.

2016 Ford Transit Connect...Ended Up Being The Purge Valve Solenoid Has A Vaccum Stuck open while the Engine is Running.. Replaced part.

What happens if you cannot start vehicle yet you had the P0456 code
If the purge valve is stuck open it can cause issues sometimes, but it will not stop the engine from starting.
Have you tried scanning your vehicle's OBD2 for Check Engine Light Codes?
How do you purge it and wheee is it located to purge it
