    What is Transfer Tuesday?
    It was coined by Mary from ‪@PenniesNotPerfection‬ and it's the day of the week where you move ANY amount of money to ANY of your financial goals (debt, savings, investments, sinking funds, etc.).
    I tend to transfer money multiple times a week to my various goals, but I always make a transfer on Tuesday as well!
    What's the point?
    You will make quicker progress the more transfers you make (less interest paid on debt, more interest gained in your savings accounts, more money compounding in your investments). It also helps your money mindset because it feels good to make progress on a regular basis!

    Hi Leila, this is my first time commenting after 4 years of watching your videos. I am from Germany and I just CAN'T believe things like this actually happen in the US. Us Germans should really be more grateful for the healthcare system here.

    It’s both the insurance and the cvs speciality pharmacy. I work in the medical for 25 years and speciality pharmacy is convenient but it is also a hassle . They can back track by first paying the old insurance then once that happens it can take a week or so then once that is done that pharmacy has to be responsible enough to rebill it to the new insurance. Also any medical bill will not go into your credit by law that’s illegal. People may say this is not right but for me doing billing and working in clinic I have learned

    Submit the bill to your correct Healthcare company. It sounds like someone isn't doing their job from their end. With getting the bill, you can submit it yourself. I always trust but verify.
    I was also going to say authorizations can screw you so it's best to handle it yourself.

    This is so frustrating, the same exact thing happened to me!! And it's basically your SOL If the doctor and the insurance company are not willing to help. Also, medical bills are no longer allowed to be reported to your credit report

    Read this on CNBC: Medical debt is not reported to credit bureaus as long as it remains with your healthcare provider. If you don't pay the bill for at least three months, it could be sold to a collections agency. After one year, medical debts over $500 that are in collections can impact your credit score.
    I go through this all the time with my husband. Also, healthcare is NOTORIOUS for billing things late and claim it's in collections, when it's probably the first friggin statement! They suck. They are broken. We can do SO MUCH BETTER. Hope everything gets resolved and soon for you!

      Yeah, I had something go to collections literally like 5 years after I went to the doctor lol. I had no idea, luckily it was just a few hundred dollars, but still annoying.

    If all you did was right, and the old insurance company paid for something they shouldn't have, then they should probably sit on that money. It's not you who has to pay for their mistake, it's a matter between the old insurance, the pharmacy and the new insurance, so if they have to turn against someone, they should turn against the pharmacy. The new insurance company looks ass though...

    HI LEILA! This is my first time commenting but I understand your frustration so much!! This is partly why I couldn’t quite meet with you one-on-one after my vacation. My wife has been sick for awhile (hence why I want to provide for us) but 2 days before our vacation (we still went and had an amazing time) we got into a car accident and totaled her car. The ER said she was fine, all tests clear. But she’s still getting dizzy, nauseous and can’t feel certain parts of her body at times or shakes like crazy) we FINALLY got her into a neurologist but it took about 15 phone calls and finally a 3 way phone call to the insurance she pays for and the clinics office for her to get in to see the neurologist and not wait until December. When this is needed now. Because they are NOT COMMUNICATING the way they should be.
    PLUS all of the bills that just keep coming in from the ER visits but our insurance is supposed to be taking care of!! The health care is TRASH in the U.S. system. And I’m not saying everyone else is perfect or even good either.
    I’ve even had a few friends LEAVE the health care industry because they believe that people aren’t getting the care that they need.

    Why not transfer Fridays?! I was all with it until I don’t have anything to transfer today 😂 Friday’s pay will be my first paycheck after maxing all contributions.. I’m very excited to throw all of my checks to my brokerage for the rest of the year.
    Insurance isn’t so bad when you have work subsidizing part of it, outside of that, it’s stupid expensive. I’d love to retire early but i might have to keep a whatever paying job just for its insurance.

    I agree its a scam. All they want to do is collect premiums but when it comes to paying a claim, they find any trick in the book not to pay. Not to mention every year they increase the premiums with less benefits. Agravated too!

    This sucks. My wife has an autoimmune issue. The cost of her medicine without her current insurance will keep her working a couple extra years. For sure. Hers is almost 3k a month without it.

    Insurance is SUCH a scam. I need a particular medicine for my migraines and it took MANY MONTHS for the prior-authorization to be approved. So much back-and-forth, "we can't get in touch with your doctor" bullshit (because they would call the doctor on weekends), paperwork that needed fixing... luckily it finally went through. Sheesh.

    I am from the UK where we have free to the point of care healthcare via the NHS, so no need for insurance here and the US healthcare system always baffles me. But the consequence of a free healthcare system, I think Canada is the same, is the long wait lists as everyone goes to the doctor for every little thing, from ear wax to a wart.... so there are pros and cons, but the US cost of healthcare is on another level compared to other countries where you pay for healthcare.

    Genuine question - what country has a better system? maybe the scandinavian countries? Canada and the UK wouldn't have this particular problem but it would take forever for you to have seen a specialist in the first place.

    • @DaltonsFriendswood
      @DaltonsFriendswood 6 дней назад

      I have heard several UK RUclipsrs talk about waiting years for appointments with specialists. The waits are so long they end up going with private doctors and then they’re paying out of pocket. Not to mention several common screenings that we do even annually here in the us are done much less frequently if at all. Even though the US system comes with issues, I want to be able to get the healthcare I want when I want.

    • @bee42Sad
      @bee42Sad 6 дней назад

      @@DaltonsFriendswood Yes, I am in Canada and does't seem as extreme as the UK, but waitlists are long for non-emergency issues. That is why I'm genuinely curious who has the right system. Maybe if we had the answer healthcare wouldn't be the state that it is across the globe.

    Sorry you had to deal with that. As frustrating and angry as I’m sure you were the US is still an absolutely great place to be BUT I 10,000% that our healthcare system is wildly broken. Keep your head up and equally if not more important thank you for your transparency. This is the first video on YT I have seen from a finance person. No mistake on your part but still a real life scenario most others in this space might be afraid to share! Already subscribed but I appreciate you even more now for speaking openly about this. One foot in front of the other lady you are doing great and making a difference!
