Thank you for doing the work and making the transition into tech that much easier for the inexperienced. I look forward to the IT Fundamentals course. For now I’ll look into your lab playlists. I’ve an Associates in IT just need the hands on experience.

I would definitely agree to what kevtech tech just said 100% Desktop support in today's ages really not that complicated as long as you know the basics period and we stress that a lot know the basics and you can do any job in it IT it has built off basics.

Desktop Support is just basically DEVICE Support. If it's an electronic "device" that has some form of CPU, firmware and generates a IP address over Wi-Fi then technically it can be supported in some way, shape or form. A "DEVICE" could be a laptop or desktop computer, smartphone, tablet, Apple watch, "wearable", a RING camera, a SMART home thermostat or other device, a Smart TV, an IoT device, the list goes on...Almost all are wireless nowadays. Some CCTV and security cameras can be wired ethernet using PoE.

Thanks for all you do Kev! I used your resume template to apply for jobs and landed a level 1 help desk position within a month. Your resume and interview playlists also were very helpful! Cheers!

Myself, I've been applying more to more senior Level 3 "IT Concierge" roles. Think more like an IT Generalist role but with a higher emphasis on personalized service tailored to a particular customer's unique needs.

Very good information and you have a good background but it's a very underpaid position and then again you have a lot that are paying good but there's a lot of skills to know and they're really picky hiring people that don't really have any hands on for help desk I literally hit a brick wall was trying to get hired for this position after almost 22 months on the job working with cloud services

You need the right skills and you need to know how to market yourself. The people that do training with me land a job making 60k or more.

I applied everywhere, have gotten 1 callback from Panda Express, haven’t heard back from them. Times are tough out here. Even passed the ITA exam for my state and been applying to county jobs. The field is saturated.

Plus trust me I had more than enough time to think about it the certification shouldn't be needing to be revised and mandatory have to take them every 3 years is not fair it's too much money involved just to put more money in certification providers pockets whether you pass or fail the exams...
I'm definitely not applying for no more of these positions for a while if ever again ✔️
