oh yeah what a bummer...F1 drivers have it pretty tough. P.S.: the track is tight and slow, it's impossible to overtake there. will be a dull race anyway.
The entire country will go mad like after winning Euro 88. Max and Maxime topping the babynames charts for decades. Removing our Royal Family and crowning Max, Jos and Victoria in their place.
After few races in rfactor 2, it is a very nice track to ride on very enjoyable. Unfortunately there is only one real overtaking spot. The first curve.

I reckon everyone is overreacting. I’m sure it’s fine to overtake. I even did some testing on a beta F1 track mod with 2019 cars/game and it was mainly good for 3-4 cars wide
Like you now anything, first race still needs to happen and people already think to now how it's going down. Lmao if this becomes the most epic track in qualifying and racing. People sound ignorant and uneducated when they make stupid predictions and comparisons. Shows that comment sections are run by little kids.
@sp1878 I agree it sometimes feels weird that suddenly everyone is into F1 because of Max here in the NL. But it's great that the sport gained popularity right? I'm Dutch too btw 🙊
Umm, from 1:36 to 1:39 and again at 3:59 to 4:01 - that is Silverstone. Also there was no F1 calendar in 1952. The category was 'Grand Prix' racing and the FIA chose to run it with F2 spec cars that year.
Niki Lauda won the Dutch GP in 1985 by going from P10 to P1. Everyone: mY eXpeCtaTiOnes arE nO oVerTAkEs. While Monaco, Hungaroring are not even that wider.
in 85 cars were half the size and the argument about monaco and hungaroring is extremely irrelevant cause there literally isn’t passing at monaco either
1:24 see tilke should take notes and makes track that follow the nature because some tracks that we all love like nordschleife, spa, zandvort, etc we created by adapting to space given the nature not nature adapting to us
The problem with that is that if someone wants to build a new track they just mark a barren plot of land with no elevation for Tilke to work with. COTA for example is pretty great and also designed by Tilke.
Everyone is talking like Max is going to win. But we are going to forget most drivers struggle to win their home races thus except Hamilton Example Senna and Brazil, Leclerc and Monaco etc.
Monza got their Tifosi, Zanvoort got the Orange crowd. That should make for interesting races. May the Dutch host F1 races for a long time in the future.
Sounds like an interesting place to race. But there was no mention of the narrow track, limited passing and shortness of the laps. While there are claims that the track has been widened and improved it is clear that some parts of the track have not been changed giving raise to short feature overtaking corners followed by line a stern racing. I have heard mentioned that "New" tracks need to be close to 2min lap times and Zandvoort was under that when the race of taken off the calendar with the alteration there are claims it will be faster. Sadly it is likely that the next Zandvoort race will be next year. I hope that the fans can wait that long.
It's a bit like Monaco, you have to be right at the pinnacle of your performance to win, the rewards are sweet and most people who win here become world champions.
It would be lovely if the organisation has some regocnition for the old heroes at the new GP in the Netherlands. It will be a great and chaotic weekend..
Omg you guys are talking about my country 😍🙏 The circuit is not a special circuit, but the Dutch experience is a very very special experience, than you understand why you see the Dutch Orange army with F1 and Football🇳🇱❤️, its only love ❤️❤️
Whenever Zandvoort comes up: successors to Nostradamus crawl out of the woodwork, saying it will be a boring race without any overtakes. They already know it. Maybe wait until the first 30 laps first? And until we can see the effects of the changes like the new banked corners on modern F1 cars? Also: overtakes aren't exciting. Battles are. Who knows, maybe we'll see Max and Charles go side by side through Arie Luyendyk? Who will brake latest? Let's find out, I say. And let's not pretend there aren't any more tracks without a ton of overtaking spots. Doesn't mean the race can't be good. And even IF the race gets boring, doesn't mean it will be like that year in year out. Let's not forget 2022 regs either. So let's wait and see. We already know it'll be a huge spectacle with a sea of orange and a ton of crazy fans. Maybe even crazier than expected because they have to wait an additional year.
imagine being verstappen and having a home race and then having to stay home
Verstappen already had many home gp's in Austria and Spa so I think he is doing nice

One of the few tracks I've actually visited, being on the track was a special moment
@Tony O'Brien it was a tour division track day in my own car, I got a 20 min session on the track when I visited, it was back in 2018
Niki’s last win is still one of my favorite F1 memories.

why? I don´t understand, but I want to know haha
Glad to see it back in the sport, hopefully overtaking won’t be too difficult with the current era of cars
CraftRacer44 CR44 dont worry they've widened the track to make it fit for modern day f1 cars to race at they wouldn't leave it in its old state
After few races in rfactor 2, it is a very nice track to ride on very enjoyable. Unfortunately there is only one real overtaking spot. The first curve.
Of course it will be extremely difficult to overtake here. With these cars, even at Spa you see very few overtakes when it’s dry.

There are two already on youtube..... one of them is the Roger Williamson race, the RACE that changed formula 1 Dutch Grand Prix 1973.

Easy, tifosi are great but they "aint got nothin' " on the orange army, when the orange army appears, a big party follows.
