- Today I am sharing what we got our kids for Christmas in 2021! I also discuss our Christmas budget, how we allocate those funds, stocking stuffers as well as gifts for our nieces and nephew. When my kids were toddlers their favorite gifts were GIANT boxes. We were able to get refrigerator boxes, and other huge boxes, and my kids spent hours inside them: coloring the walls, having tea parties, just playing. I think they slept a few nights in them too. Now they are in their 20's and they still talk of the boxes being their favorite gifts.
I LOVE that!!! My kids love giant boxes too. Anytime I have a big box I let them color it and make forts. It’s their favorite ❤️😍
I nanny, and I started just before the pandemic started, so the boy was just over 4 and a half years old and the girl was nearly 8. Schools closed in mid-March, so I was with them every weekday afternoon. The parents had tons of deliveries for furniture/vacuums etc and we made houses, castles, restaurants, spaceships etc with them that we decorated with markers/stickers! It was so much fun, and we were so lucky that the children have a lovely garden and the weather was good. Boxes for the win/MVP!
Maybe for your 2 year old something to pretend with like a Sarah silk ribbon dancer! It makes a great stand alone gift as well as stocking stuffer. It’s always fun for so many types of games (indoors or outdoors) and when not being used it takes up virtually no space! ((Bonus, aesthetically pleasing and no noise!))

Great ideas!! I have a 3 year old daughter and her favorites are her tea set, Zingo game, Water Wow books, small character sets (her favorite is Minnie Mouse), baby dolls with stroller, Kinetic Sand, play doh kitchen set, Lego Duplo (zoo one and Minnie Mouse are her favorites) and Magnatiles. She is getting a Nugget, crawl thru IKEA tunnel, the Melissa and Doug cones, and a yoto player this year.
Water wow books are such a great idea!! I might add those. We have a nugget and both my kids absolutely love it!
Omg I think the Fitbit is perfect for your son. I’m a 2nd grade after school teacher and a lot of my kids have them and they always talk about it and love it

For my kids (6 yo boy & 3 yo girl), books, clothes in next size up, fun pjs, slippers, Disney princess dolls ($10 from 🎯), outdoor toys, Super Mario Kart Hot Wheels, etc. are GREAT ideas! And I didn’t go crazy with spending. Some things I had from earlier in the year.
I didn’t realize our kids were so close in age!! I usually get my kids clothes for Christmas but this year it totally didn’t even cross my mind. Maybe I’ll snag my daughter a robe I feel like she’d love that 😅❤️

*personalised childrens books* would be something along the lines of "budget gifts" to give to kids at a young and growing age (below 5) - exposing them to literature and reading while young which is great if you ask me

Yesss, debt free december is here! 🥳 I was thinking about you earlier today when I realized debt free december was starting today! Yay! My children are teenagers and I don’t buy gifts for other children at the moment but I’m still curious to see what you’ve bought 😆 those leggings with pockets 😍 We love pockets! My kids are both getting Lego, they love building and sadly don’t need their moms help anymore 😂 I love building with Legos too! Then they’ll get some clothes, gaming accessories, books 🤔 I’m sure there is more but I can’t remember at the moment 😆

My daughter got the Vivofit Jr about 5 years ago. You can replace the battery easily and new bands are pretty cheap. But a free one sounds like a good solution. 😊

So many nice presents :) we always get 1-2 presents/ kid because they also get presents from other family members. This way we have less clutter 😅
I was trying to go more minimal this year, and clearly failed. I think next year I want to try the 4 gift rule!!! (one thing to wear, one thing to read, one thing they want, one thing they need)
I've started my Christmas Shopping, I've been doing it online for the past few weeks, I've also been doing online Christmas Shopping ever since the Pandemic started, and it just went on from there, I'm doing it in June, and continued doing it all the way to November, sometimes I would do it, when my husband Jason David takes our five children, our youngest 3-year-old daughter named Kayleigh, our next youngest 5-year-old son named Julian, our next oldest 7-year-old son named Derek, our next oldest 9-year-old son named Jaden, and our oldest 11-year-old son named Jacob. out of the house, like, taking them grocery shopping, or just shopping, etc. etc. I've been going on websites, like Walmart, Target, Khol's, and Amazon.

Watched the whole thing. I love these kinds of videos! I already have all my gifts but I’m still watching everyone Xmas hauls. I’ve seen a lot of people get that Moana doll at Costco. Our Target was sold out of them so I wish we had a membership there.

Our kids are a lot alike! My daughter is 2.5 and my son is 5…I’m also pregnant with my third. My daughter likes the same exact things as yours. I got her a little vanity set with pretend makeup and some hair stuff. :)

Ah Legos we didn't realize how many our son had till we moved. Lets just say grandma gets him a set for his birthday and Christmas every year. She started when he was 3, he's now 13, so hundreds of Legos. He is very serious about them. I also have started getting a board or card game we play as a family on Christmas. For your daughter I would say a kids book about dentistry maybe a good fit.
Great idea on the book! My son has a lot too, his grandparents absolutely are the reason for that haha! He gets so many legos for holidays/birthdays!

I would you get her a little people lift flap book. My kid is a teen. Just thinking back and seeing the stuff your son has. The leapfrog scribble and write or something similar works too.

Nice! My son is 4. He loves ghostbusters. And he asked for a musical guitar and keyboard. Everything is already wrapped and hidden away! I also have a 23 and 17 year olds, I’m stuck on what to get them tho

My daughter will be 2.5, 2 days after Christmas. She really loves the little people babies, we will have them all after Christmas. She's also obsessed with Cocomelon so I got her some of that. She LOVES dolls and play food. She loves pretending to be the mommy and my middle daughter is supposed to be the baby. I also got her some color wonder coloring books and more markers. She's been really into lego duplos lately too.

Question: if your child didn't get presents from other people would you budget for more. I watch videos and so many talk about having a lower christmas budget because of presents from others but my family that's not the case.

My goddaughter is getting the frozen house
My daughter has a little people frozen castle and she is OBSESSED with it! It is one of her favorite toys! Frozen is by far her favorite movie lol!
Wait. You only have 2 young kids and you have a $775 budget plus lots of gift cards? Wow. thought this was a budget channel.
If you watched the video we didn’t spend it all, we also buy for 4 nieces and nephews (3 I showed gifts for in this video), we also buy for our parents. That budget is also including our Christmas cards and any wrapping paper or misc things related to Christmas. We still had money left so we donated to a local charity as well as adopted a family for Christmas. It is a budget channel. And not everyone budgets the same, and that’s okay.
