Malayalam film industry is difficult to survive because of high talents and mature audiences. Sukumaran was good actor Indrajit got his talent but prithviraj failed in that . Veteran actors like jagathy also openly stated that Prithviraj is not a good actor .. In 90s and early 2000 name one Main actor who came through nepotism... And the quality of malayalam film has decreased after 2005 . Prithviraj started his career in 2003 he is no one to speak about prime time of malayalam cinema . The industries mafia try to push him down. He never give up. The same malayali people addressed him 'rayappan'. At the end he proofed how talented was he. In the longest of time, we were never given our due acknowledgement. I absolutely agree to Prithvi Sir when he said, we should not fall for the trap and lose our perspective. I feel we are better off being our own individual movie industry. The world is watching us now.....for our content. The biggies of the 'other' movie industry can easily woo with their money..... but I hope we keep our culture, content, discipline and quality movies alive!

City of God is one of my personal favorite movie too. Still watch whenever I spot it anywhere. Even Pavada needs to be mentioned, Prithvi did a fabulous job, among many other beautiful movies he worked in.
I have lived my whole life in North...and we use to have South connection in cable Tv to access Malayam movies. I always use to wonder that despite 90% of malalyalm movies being ahead of the timeline of hindi movie are in why its not getting popular enough. What he said in interview is so so so relatable that its not like one fine day we (as in filmakers/writers)started making such good content. It was always like that.
Malayalam cinema is something else. The way they introduce social debates on to the screen is amazing....very quiet very unassuming and very bold. 'Mumbai Police' is something. 'Great Indian Kitchen'
it was an excellent interview, prithwi gave crisp and clear answer to audience by covering whole malayalam industry also he never disappointed Mohanlal fans because he him self consciously insert Lal’s movie after saying about Mammookka😂 , however as a critic I found one thing that he knowingly didn’t delivered about his business partner Supriya 😂.. he was saying , he was relaxed for making movie …the truth is that he simply sit in Chair seat and supriya handling all the stuffs 🤣

Malayalam is the only industry where content is king.. other industries got good movies but stardom still works.. Cimena is purely am art .for the society. When stardom comes into picture it feels like one man show.
That's why all his movies are blockbuster at the boxoffice,in social media people's they love anuragh kashyap movies,vikrant mothwane movies but they didn't go for theatres to watch they movies but most of them watch karan johar movies in theatres that's the reality
Malayalam films have the best content best in world, very realistic 70's 80's 90's so forth and so on. Prithvi 's father died early, Sukumaran's is more talented than prithvi, I like prithvi as an actor, but give me an option to watch father or son 's movie, I prefer an old movie of Sukumaran .
