Karambit is for a deeper and sharper cut, a straight knife having no curves makes it hard for it to cut deeper so its usually made to stab the opponent
In this case these are going to give the same conclusion. But always remember these have major differences. First of all, straight blades are piercing. They are talented about penetrating unlike karambit. But karambit is curved inside so it is talented about skinning and removing tissue from the inside. Wrists, neck, anything fits inside the curve of karambit. Karambit is perfect for cutting these. Also modern karambits' rings are coming with a thumb support, this makes it almost perfect for close combat. But situations where your opponent has armor or something like this, you have to prefer penetrators like american tanto models.
Great video and test, I believe that was a clip point blade. I would be curious to see the results of a Tanto vs full flat grind. It sets my teeth on edge thinking about getting cut by a serrated karambit due to it cutting deep and causing more damage because of the pulling effect it has once it grabs the material and just slices, dios mio!
I dont really get the test here. One of the blades was given a specific curve and Handle to slash better. The other one also slashes but is better at stabbing. Is this just a cutting test
Keep poating bro i love blade content !
Thanks I will
They sharp for sure
The way he’s using it is really good. Great Job

"blade made for slashing vs blade made for stabbing"
Good video
I like you make more
I like that you are not wasting cola (or food) like others do, bur instead fill the empty can with water
Nice cold steel
Professional at pouring water down his own sleeves, classic.
Straight blade stab carambit slash make a knife with Straight blade in the front and a curved on the backside
Im not an expert or know anything about tactical fighting. But wouldn't a straight blade cut better when held in a stabbing position.
Why not a bud lite?
I m big fan

You are the first person that I have seen. That is sensible enough to drink the coke out of the car first
Hold the straight blade properly and then do the test
Try that on a side of beef
Karan it definitely slashes deeper
dude look like a thumb
Meat would be a better medium
