I actually really like that they went for more of an anti-drop this time, it’s refreshing and I already like it more than Bouncy (and I love Bouncy) but I feel like even with the anti-drop the song doesn’t let you breathe, it’s just hit after hit with the choreo, the vocals, the raps… yeah, it’s a BANGER!
Bouncy had to grow on me, crazy form was love at first listen
I can only think of one thing: imagine what Crazy Form must be at an Ateez concert. The roof will come down.

Whether there's a chorus, anti chorus, no chorus, whichever. Doesn't matter for me - I love, love, love this song. And the last 20 seconds...wow! I don't know if you're planning to react to the album yet or if you're going to wait, but whichever it is, I have just one thing to say: Silver Light.

This was the first video I saw of theirs (I first learned of them from a collab they did with Pentatonix) and I’ve been obsessed ever since. And I’m 64 years old.
Yeah I think I had to listen to this song several times before I could figure out what the chorus even was. They said this song was based on Afrobear rhythms so I kind of just attributed the anti-chorus thing to that. What I must like about Ateez is there constant experimentation with other music styles and how they can take any type of style or song and make it their own. I feel like they did it well here and I hope those who listen to Afrobeat songs are proud of their efforts.
For me, it was the opposite. Before I heard the whole track, I wasn’t sure I was going to like Crazy Form very much, but I LOVE THE FLOW! I haven’t been able to stop dancing to Crazy Form. It is an AMAZING dance track.
I think it takes a while to process because the structure is different from what we're used to--we're waiting for a what feels musically like a chorus until the end. After some research, I'd describe it as strophic with a refrain until the end--AAAB. I kind of had the same reaction to Guerrilla because parts of the second verse felt like the bridge, but weren't.

Oh how i love Ateez, this album is a banger as expected from them. Dreamy day, crazy form, silver light and the outro is on another level
My first listen I was overwhelmed and a little unsure. But once I listened to it 2 or 3 times I've become absolutely obsessed for sure. I do like it a little more than bouncy. Bouncy hit me harder first listen, but Crazy form has already grown on me so much more.
Yes, it does have crazy form...hehe! I love the song, but sometimes the bounciness (hehe) in the video and the flashing lights near the end bother my eyes. So the video has crazy form too! I love the MAMA performance of the song! ❤🔥
This is such an interesting song, structurally, and it's - like many Ateez songs, growing for me. This is actually behaving like To the Beat and Horizon for me - it was....good, but not... wow.... but even on second and third listen it was already growing. And Hongjoong's flow in this song is SICK - again, like To the Beat for me.

Curiously in Bouncy the chorus was my favorite thing and the verses not so much and here is reversed!
The verses and pre-chorus are great and chorus wanted it to be more impactful and melodical! Wished it was like the beggining, the get up was so catchy and I expected it that would be the chorus, I felt ir was kind of a missed opportunity but well It's still good and a total banger, they never miss!!👏👏
Album listening please🙏
I felt kinda similarly about the song, and the album in general. Not my favorite Ateez music. Not at all what I was expecting for the finale of The World era. This album should have been the launch of their next era, not the end of the current. The overall sound does not match the previous parts at all, and it bummed me out a bit if I'm being honest. I was expecting a massive finale, the biggest in Kpop history. That's what they were building towards with the first 2 parts of this era. Instead, we got a hip-hop/R&B album with a few lighthearted tracks sprinkled in.
As an atiny, I expect to add at least 1 track every comeback to my top 10 list. They just keep elevating and evolving, and their music gets better and more cinematic with each release. This felt like a step back to me. I've never been disappointed by an Ateez comeback before. Even if I don't like the title track, they always make up for it with the most bombastic b-sides. Guess there's a first time for everything. Not a single track on this album even came close to top 30 Ateez songs, let alone my top 10. Maybe my expectations were too high, but I expect more from my ults, and I gotta tell ya, this was easily the worst Ateez album imo. None of the tracks even made the playlist...
@bigredcrazyk It’s always interesting to see how different people have different views. Ateez did say they wanted to do something completely different on this album. I would say as an Atiny as you know, when you listen a few times sometimes it changes(the view). Honestly I didn’t like bouncy the first time I heard it and it was my most played song of 2023, I also didn’t like pirate king, and that made my top 15 most played of the year… I’m also older so there was a nostalgic 80’s feel for me that made me really like this album a lot. Arriba, silver light and crazy form will make my most played list next year for sure. And Wooyoung said there’s going to be a m/v to their song “it’s you” I think that also changed the album as each member got to do something they personally wanted. Hope you don’t give up on Ateez, look forward to their next one, see if it grows on you. Lol
