    Hello everyone, I'm Shibasaki, watercolor teacher. We start new series "Watercolor painting in five minutes"! Today, I will introduce "How to paint a Sakura". I will show you how to paint a Cherry blossom in the video, so please watch it until the end!

      neither your brain, nor your hand knows how to draw if you are inexperienced :P you just think you can because this dude makes it look easy, but he's thinking about so much stuff while drawing this (calculating hues, thinking about shape hierachy, grouping values)

    Your voice is really calm and you don't talk really fast, so it's been pretty easy to try to understand you without relying on the subtitles since it's been a while since I last practiced japanese. Also, it's really sweet from you to make it more accessible with the subtitles!

      『Crying Water』 I’ve heard that for a better shadow effect, add blue instead of black. Not sure why but it appears to work rather well

    面白いので何本も描いて、その度に少し上手く描けてる様な気がしてます😆
    小さい用紙に描くにもピッタリな描き方でした!
    一番上手に描けたのを額に入れて飾ります!

    こんにちは。私は物心がついた時から絵を描き始めて、キャラクターイラストなどを中心に描いていたため風景や背景を描くのが苦手なのです。
    色んな参考書などを買ってみますが、どれもデッサンが出来て基本を押さえていないと分からないようなざっくりとした説明で、正直やってみようという気がしませんでした。
    こちらの動画のサムネを一目見て「え?5分でこんなにきれいに描けるの?」と思って拝見させていただきましたが、やり方は幼い子供でもできるくらい適当で簡単なのに水彩らしい優しい仕上がりになっていて参考になりました。
    何より「とにかく楽しく」という言葉を聞いて本当にその通りだな、と思いました…たまに心が折れそうなときはこの動画のことを思い出してまた頑張ろうと思います。

    こんばんは🐕玄関前に桜の老木があり、夏は木陰になり管理は大変ですが桜🌸が大好きです。
    土手に沿った桜を描かれた絵を模写しましたが、今回のを参考にもう一度チャレンジします。一応、何となく絵にはなってます✌️😊🖼

      FYI, the comment that was written by “柴崎春通 水彩画講座” was Shibasaki-sensei’s comment. “Shibasaki” is written as “柴崎” and “Harumichi” is as “春通” in Japanese.😄🌸

    Awesome video, this is what i miss about traditional watercolors versus doing things digitally, there is a certain technique to it. That journey to the end result is what I find fascinating, regardless of medium.

    Shibasaki-san, you’re a wonderful teacher! When it comes to painting, I am like a baby learning to walk, afraid of falling. I am getting steadier and am more confident with the big paintbrush like drawing the grass and leaves as I follow your instructions.
    You’re amazing! Thank you for all your wonderful videos. I never knew I could paint a rose until I saw your demonstration!

    This painting reminds me of visiting Japan this spring and saw those beautiful cherry blossom for the first time. I just started to learn water colour painting recently and I will keep practicing so that one day I could draw amazing things I saw by myself. Hope you are doing well, Sensai.

      Its a muddy green kinda but with darker blue i guess
