The patterning in current modern music does not apply to these ladies. They write what serves the song, not via any established "method" or process, so throw all expectations out the window...."It's Band Maid doing Band Maid things!" (Chase C) 😎 I've been playing rock, metal, and prog guitar and keys since 76 and these ladies continue to blow my mind. So much genius in their song structure and execution.

I finally figured Akane out. She plays rhythm and lead guitar with her drums. Damnedest thing I ever seen. 兄さんにピン留めして

The other band members named Kanami " the Queen of Riffs". Yep

And it’s rarely just one riff too, crazy how often they don’t just rely on one good riff for a whole song.

Every song and every listen/watch, we find more things we hadn't noticed before. Small gems of perfection. Just another reason to enjoy the Ladies music.

Absolutely ♥ this song! Not only my fave Band Maid song, but one of my all time fave songs, period! Just so much to ♥
With that killer riff, the anthemic chorus, the drumming, the funky bass & that sweet short guitar solo that blends perfectly with Saiki's voice before the great english breakdown
Oh and those shots of MISA chillin like a boss on the rug! 🥰 😳
BTW - in case you didn't notice, the video is also an homage to Freddie Mercury/Bohemian Rhapsody movie

The Band-Maid awesomeness "Bubble" is expanding across the land... and that's a good thing because, other than their incredible music, to me they represent decency and joy -- things the world can always use more of. Thx, Jon!

This song grows on you, and then there’s Saiki and her dance in the 2nd verse, then her wink,,,yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah, her internal voice, Let me out!!! It all just sticks in my head, so many cool things in such a short song.

THis was their tribute song to the Freddie Mercury / Queen movie, Bohemian Rhapsody. You can see the little nods to thing is the film.

Watching someone with TOOL on their fore arm give an in depth review
of the magic that is Band-Maid is quite satisfying and hilarious. The Maids deliver on

A very criminally under reacted to song by them. I've said that many times to many reactors. Probably in my top 10 maybe in my top five by them. Take care be well always and keep up the good work.

Band Maid, for me, is the most creative and interesting group of musicians to hit the rock scene since TOOL.
I often play their music while focusing on hearing only one instrument at a time. When I do? I actually am afraid for anyone trying to cover them

Great reaction and the video (not the lyrics) was inspired by the movie Bohemian Rhapsody. If you watch the trailer for the movie you'll see most of the visual references in the video that are in the trailer. Apparently the band went to see the movie and was inspired to make something to honor Freddie and Queen.

I think that the two guitars are mixing the on and off beats between them. The seamless transitions are generally down to Akane's drumming keeping it so clean- polyrhythms? But, Kanami's composing is genius- we already know that. Yes- the Band-Maid hooks are everything that metal isn't. I'd quite like the word metal not to be used with them, as musically they are far more interesting. I do like some metal- the more Symphonic style, but I find 6-8 minutes of continuous double kick totally, totally boring. Okay you might get a slow intro or outro but the rest is completely sleep inducing. Just my personal opinion but in agreement with Jon.

I'm quite surprised that no one has (yet) mentioned that this song is seemingly dedicated to Freddy Mercury. I admit that I don't quite see the complete relation between him and this song, but I would be happy to be educated on that topic.

    • @zs9811
      @zs9811 10 месяцев назад +4

The song itself was written as the theme song for the TV drama series Perfect Crime, based on a mystery romance about a murky relationship featuring a female interior designer. The lyrics were inspired by the manga version that all the members had read (and at least Miku and Saiki seem to have read the original novel as well). The music video is a tribute to the movie _Bohemian Rhapsody,_ which I believe was a request from the band members themselves.

Wanna know another reason I'm thankful for BAND-MAID? Imagine, if you can, any of these girls playing for a less talented band, one that doesn't go as hard as they do. Their talent would be completely wasted playing less interesting music that doesn't allow them to continue growing as they have over the last ten years.

Doesn't Saiki know you're supposed to shut up when Kanami is speaking? 🤣. I guess if anyone can interrupt a Mincho solo it would be Saiki!
