The pain is never articulated better than Baldwin, what more glorious a legacy than that for a human, yet less writer.
Its frustrating how much of this is still unchanged 50 years later.

I didn't realize that story was written by James Baldwin. I'm sad that I didn't learn about the man until my late 20s. He wasn't really inspiring or theatrical, just honest and eloquent.
He didn't escalate the war he fought against it
