That Jello, looking stuff is part of ethanol. That it comes with the gas. You may want to clean The manjet. If you can get it out.
Because it will be clogged up some.

You remind me of working with my dad as a kid. He had a way of putting words together that I would never believe would fit but somehow worked.

Fought a Mantis tiller this evening. Thought it was carb issues but I think it was the gas line to the carb as it broke off with little to no effort. Good video Ross

Good video Ross. Nice to see the old guy is running again. Seems to me also it's the watered -down gas. Nice job.

The gelatin is the alcohol. I get this in my boat. There are gas stations around that sell straight gas. I typically get four gas cans at a time to run in my small engines every two weeks.

Ethanol gasoline will have a certain amount of water in it and if it sits for long periods the water will separate. I think that is what’s creating the jelly. I put stabil in all my mower gas and other fuel that will be sitting for long periods. Maybe that will help your problem.

Isn’t it amazing how vise grips rust when you lose them in the grass then run over them with the lawn mower. Have a great day

I had that problem with my small engines and it was because of ethanol gas! Started running non ethanol gas and end of problem!

Nothing like getting the good old wash down from the gas blow back! All those older motors with carburetors seems to be somewhat problematic. I've repaired and replaced several throughout the years or had to rebuild them. I guess it's just what you have with those, I suppose, fun stuff. Thanks and I hope you don't have any sadness for today and/or the weekend.😁Have a good one!

That jelly is probably water, or was water. Why not use your ultrasonic cleaner for the carb? This is the perfect job for it.

Cleaning out that fuel tank would be my next rainy day job I think. Using tools to bug for the job is all i know how to do too, especially when it comes to carburetors.

I’ve come to the conclusion that a fella needs to add a shut off valve to the carburetor so he can run the bowl dry at shut down. Everything I’ve got without one has thrown carb fits while every one that has a shut off and gets run dry seems fine.

I'm thinking somehow you got E85 gas in the tank, it tends to turn to gel over time.

Ethanol gasoline will jell at .5% moisture...
Industry standard 10 years ago when I looked into it was .3% acceptable
