Tesla Troopers go from being relatively memey (considering their short ranges mean they'll never get first strike) to a true terror once they hit elite.
It's unfair though, because of the game mechanics of how neutral units interact. Faction units with colours will not automatically attack neutral units, unless specifically commanded to, or if the neutral unit attacks it first. Therefore without human player intervention, the neutral unit always shoots first. Furthermore, they will not draw agro from nearby units unless the nearby unit also gets hit with splash attack.
Tesla troopers and Tesla coils should be invulnerable to each other, according to all laws of physics, unless the current exceeds the rated amount of the surface... Amirite?
I don't think this is a proper test at all. Most of the "targets" aren't even attacking. They all just seem to be chilling until the tesla troopers shoot them first at which point only the units that are hit would retaliate if still alive. Particularly at the wall portion. Are the viruses even attacking? Do the angry tesla troopers outrange the viruses? They all just seemed to be running towards their demise. I mean, sure we could all see the angry tesla troopers are powerful. However, it doesn't really tell much as to how they would fare under battle conditions. If I may, I would suggest to find a friend to help run the test in multiplayer so that the opposing force would at least attack properly.
