if u like beer, try to test some of main czech dishes: Roast duck with dumplings and sauerkraut (kachna se zelím a knedlíkem), Goulash - many variations - best are beef or potato with bread (hovězí nebo bramborový guláš s chlebem), Roasted beef in dill cream sauce with dumplings. Koprová omáčka s knedlíkem a hovězím plátkem. U can try soup called "Kulajda", really delicious..
Once the pubs are open (you won't find it to go or for delivery), try "Pečené koleno", or simply "Koleno". That's usually a huge portion of baked pork knuckle often served on a big cutting board, commonly garnished with horseradish, mustard or "vejmrda" (horseradish mixed with grated apple - don't try to search for it's name meaning :-D), czech bread, pickled hot peppers, pickles and so on.
you just discovered the easiest way to the hearts of czech natives.. have a meal with us and drink beer with us.. then you compliment it and impress us with few czech words like "pivo" and we will instantly love you :D

Fried cheese is supposed to be eaten right after it's made and with tatar sauce and fries. A lot of restaurants dont offer this meal for delivery, because when cold, it loses all of it's power
Hello brother, it's jarvis here. This was an awesome video 🤩🤩. The cinematic shots were amazing 😀. Waiting for your upcoming videos 🤠🤠. Have a great day 😊👍
Awesome. Although I think it is illegal in Czech to eat fried cheese without tartar sauce.(preferably from scratch - the laws are lax on that though). Any sort of potatoes (fries, baked, mashed) are allowed. The penalty for not complying with the fried cheese law is 5 year of drinking mainstream American bier, I think.
David, as aLways, very interesting content from you! Very Authentic and very original!!! Kudos to you, Bro!!! If Time permits, Do a Street Food tour of Czech, sometimes!!!! What say?
the best thing is that when you eat it at work, you actually use the rohlik as a fork, scoop it on top of it and eat the piece of rohlik you just topped with the Vlašský salát. May sound funny, but that is how workers eat it :)

@@erenjaeger9902 Thats very unlikely if its not a vegetarian restaurant or something like that it will have pork meals since its big part of Czech cusine.
Nice i eat Pařížský salát insted of Vlašský, its more hammy and i just like it more. And yes i mean the foods are chosen well, iam having days like that :D but as we are in modern age and multicultural i eat a lot of salads and i mean salads as salads, not what is called here salad :D like fresh vegatebles becasuse we are first in the world in colon cancer which is caused by eating so unhealthy, so i try to prevent that atleast little bit and ofcourse iam not havin czech food everytime its like 60-70 % of what i eat othewise its kebab, some fast food, italina food a lot etc ...:)
Thank you so much or the comment! Yes, I tried to go full day eating Czech food but I know nowadays it is not the reality in Czech families :) I will try also Pařížský salát :)
Did you know the rohlík is shaped after moon, to ridicule ottoman forces after their defeat at Vienna? That battle Sabaton has a song about. It is not as bend as it used to be when it was handmade anymore, since this shape is easier to make with machines.
I live in CZ and the food is generally shit. They have a special dish called “řizek” but it’s just a slab of fried chicken, and they think it’s strange/rude when you ask for ketchup with your fried chicken. They also eat massive amounts of bread, which fucks my stomach up massively - they’ll have 4 pieces of bread with a single bowl of soup. A special dish they have is baked pork blood, which looks like refried beans at first, but tastes absolutely revolting. If you’d like something different, you can eat these weird patties that are comprised of some sort of bland gelatin and a bunch of random chunks of meat - of course have this with bread as well. In the mood for seafood? You can eat a special Czech dish - a chunk of pickled fish with a toothpick stuck into it. In the mood for soup? You can have their lentil soup that will fuck your stomach and make you fart for the next 2 days. Also they insist that “knedlik” is NOT bread and that it’s some other special thing. In reality, it’s pretty much the same thing if I took some cheap white bread and took off the crust. That’s not to say there aren’t any Czech foods I like, but 50% or more are just horrid for me. I love mostly everything about this country except the food.
yeah buddy, we Czech usually think any of our recipes is the best in the world(also its far from truth). Feel sorry for you řízek experience, it had to be really horrible. Abt that pork blood, yeah that is part of many cousines, was yours baked in a baking plate, or in a pork intestine? They taste totally different due to different type of preparation. And yeah, knedlik is really a dumpling, not a bread hahaha
Schnitzel with ketchup? Come on, that's disgusting. I understand you like it, but that's not how we serve it here :) There is no bread like "bread" I don't like pig's blood soup "prdelačka" either. "a chunk of pickled fish with a toothpick stuck into it" what are you talking about? Oh yeah, you mean "zavináč" which is fish with cabbage. Lentil soup is great, but bean soup with sausage is even better. I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your meal. You need to look harder
that food does not look very good quality.....you live here for 8 years and don't understand that you just cannot eat smazeny syr unless it has been just fried, if it get too cold it's not good anymore...that's probably the worst choice for delivery
What type of Czech food I should try next? :)

7:22 the "beef steak" is named Svíčková in czech (the dish is named after it)
Wow. It looks delicious buddy. Haven't tried that when I'm in Prague. Enjoy your meal.
Thank you 😋You should try next time! :) Looking forward
And your video was very informative 👍. Great work brother 😀

Fun fact: Vlašský means in old czech language italian. Vlašsko=Italy. So its actualy italian salad. ;)
Thanks David, that is very interesting actually :)
