Yeah, one of my favorite knives is a USA made 1954 bone handled Case Folding Hunter that I inherited from my grandfather. It’s reasonably high quality (still cleaning game after 71 years) but has more sentimental value to me.
Don’t forget we also support American Moms and Beer!! I think some companies are taking notice and making the right steps. Spyderco just had a leg up cuz they have always had their radar on steel developments and have been passionate about it. It’s damn near impossible to buy everything American made. We do what we can when we can.
We live in the best time there ever was for quality knives! The choices today are fantastic. BTW I just had a dewar delivered today. There is a welding supply 5 minutes from my house that carries LN2. I have some Magnacut, Cruwear, and AEB-L on the way! Watch out in a month or 2!
I bought the aebl mule when it first dropped about a year and a half ago and as I said that's the best aebl I've ever used be it custom heat treat or not. That thing is done unbelievably well. The performance is beyond what I expected aebl to be capable of composition wise. For 80 dollars that thing performs.
It IS encouraging! Love that you are supporting domestic. Also impressed what Spyderco is doing abroad. The Mule Team in K294 (10V) from Seki City that I just got is insane. Should be around 64 HRC

Afternoon Erica, how are you doing? First off? I agree with you. I had gotten several pieces or panels of the museum. Leather and I wasn’t a fan of it as well trying to use my edging tool on it trying to punch stamps on it. I just wasn’t a fan looked great, but I had tried it and I felt the same way as well. Next the 15 V I just got mine just the other day And I agree with you. It is super super sticky, razor sharp on the edge and I can’t wait to start getting it in my pocket. Anyways, just thought I’d let you know that I’m gonna plug back in and watch the rest of the video. Blessings, Erica, and by the way, one of your wallets is gonna be in my future, not too far down the road.

Every time I watch you I learn more about my hobby and also how much I still don’t know. You are an excellent representative for this community, and I support you completely. I also want to support US products. I’m a proud veteran and believe in this country’s potential for greatness. I also see how we can fall flat and suffer because of our own failings. Like you I don’t have a lot of disposable income. I’m disabled, so I rely on saving my Pennie’s and gifts from family to grow my collection. I also find delayed gratification to be enjoyable. Good thing, eh? All that said, I do own a lot of Chinese made knives, because I wanted to have them. Civivi makes some fun, interesting knives like the Hid and the Sendy which I just bought with Christmas gift cards. But I really want some rex121 and some 15v, so I’ve put in my 2025 requests with my long suffering, but lovely wife and we’ll see what happens. If I can swing an American product over China I will, but I think (sorry if this is controversial) that competition makes us better. Some of our guys have gotten sloppy and expensive, but you show us where we’re shining and I think that will drive the dollars over to those companies like spiderco and the scrawny lumberjack who are really rocking it. You are the real diamond in the rough here, and I’m glad to see people appreciating you. You deserve the attention. I hope you get many more knives for review and testing. My sharpening has improved significantly because of your information, so thanks for sharing.❤
respectable approach to USA made knives. Im sitting on my 15v para 3, haven’t brought myself to actually using it yet 😅 being a ‘spring run’ makes it tough on my psyche to beat on
Of course, you may not like knives from Chinese manufacturers, but I think many will agree with me that it was because of Chinese knives that American manufacturers began to get off their asses and do something about quality, price, and even the same heat treatment.
I'm happy Spyderco reduce their practice for limited runs with a few hundreds and they are gone in like 2-3 minutes when dropped. Now the LW Para 3 lasted quite some time, rex 121 will be permanent in the catalogue, hopefully and the 15v will follow. Corporate greed pump the prices, in Europe the energy cost are crazy, the salary might be a bit lower than some places in the states, but the energy quickly make it more expensive and we say it is normal to be expensive as it is USA made, while forget that European brands they have to import Crucible and Carpenter steels and pay taxes and transport.
