Good job on getting the air out of the system. I pulled the hydrobooster off my friend dodge ram 2500 and installed a seal kit . We just stated up the truck and it was noisy for a bit . We turned the wheels lock to lock a few time and killed it let it set and restart noise gone . Checked fluid level . I pretty sure he is using 10 wt hydraulic oil . I been using 10 wt in my tdi jetta steering for years no problems. Not recommending that I had no problems doing it
I plan on doing this soon to my K5 Blazer (Sorry it’s not a bronco). I know how great the hydro boost is in my 2500HD. I bought another 2500HD as a donor for the LS and 4L80e swap for the K5 and I’m going to use the hydro boost from it as well.
Another great video. Not in the US but might see if it will work on my 98 land rover disco 1. Has a useless vac booster pump running off a cam lobe. cheers Steve
I watched another vid where they pumped the brakes 3 times after turning the wheel 5 times ....then repeated like 50 times.... is this way not correct since your saying to bleed and introduce pressure before even pumping the brakes?
I had the same question. I was wondering what happens if the brakes have been used while the system isn't completely bled, and what remediation would consist of.
Paul, we recommend you contact the tech department at James Duff. They have a knowledgeable staff there that can help you with your specific application.
Every system is a little different but we had 2 quarts on hand and it was more than enough. You will likely use less than 2 quarts but your reservoir dipstick will dictate that.
So I did a poor job bleeding my system. I changed the power steering pump and seals to hydroboost. My truck brakes dont work with engine running. When truck is off I have hard brakes. I keep bleeding and bleeding and for like 2 hours and no braked. I need an advice I am sure I am not the only who introduces air to the hydroboost
Great job shout out from Htown about to do a hydroboost on my 68 mustang this weekend, thank you for the content.
Looks like Suzy got her arm work out done for the day...Go Suzy, Go Suzy!

How about the clearance between the intake and the Hydro boost if you have EFI mine is really tight don’t know if I like it!

how much fluid did it take 2 quarts with the hydroboost?
