I think KSHMR said this once: The very small things and habits you have when you produce all add up to your signature sound.
For example.... do you stick a kick on the end of your drop? Do you compress your synths in a bus? Do you tend to stutter your melodies a lot? Do you lowpass your bass in the intro? Do you add a small boost at 1K while eqing your vocals?
In my opinion, I think very small things like this are what makes us all different from each other. 😃

@@tyblean6915 I've been releasing singles, had that same idea for longer projects.
Each albums going to have it's own sort of sound vs constant singles never knowing what to expect. It's hard to narrow down an audience with such a wide variety of music

when i was a kid, my parents had cds with eurodance music and later i was exposed to latin/romanian house music (inna, mr saxobeat, etc) but I liked the beat and synth more than the vocals. when i discovered SHM's song greyhound i fell in love. from then i never went back from edm!

This is good advice for any musician. I played 6 string guitar for 10 years! I was still garbage. I picked up a standard 4 string bass and I've been tearing it up. My music is a part of me. Its crucial that I have music in my life.

I am an indie guitar singer songwriter who plays jazz saxophone and is studying classical violin and likes to sing neo soul/rnb. When I’m writing there is rarely some music to reference to see if I’m doing it right so you just have to be confident enough to lose sight of the shore and build an island.

The last one is working for me 😋 to be honest producing is really just a really cool and creative way for me to get my feeling and ideas into reality . so having fun is supposed to cover the whole process of making my track unique , that when I listen to it I should be like "yeeah this is is good" or "I like that a lot" ... because the more I feel like the track is going were I feel it should then I'm happy . thank you for the great advice ma man ✌👦

Wow, you are so awesome. I saw your video's about experience from another producers, but I stuck with finding my own sound. I am afraid, because I sometimes use mainstream samples like the flanger uplifter, VES2 Impact 34 and stuff.. Now the key is just: *combine*, thank you for giving me so much inspiration.

what can i do to transfer the old genre to the new one, everythings been done,

what about progressive to trap, well that's essentially future bass.

Great video. Every time you upload a video, l get a notification on my phone and when l read the title of the video l'm like wow this is what exactly l'd request him to make a video for.
The biggest problem for me is that l love Dubstep from my heart and Trap, G House follows after. I fucking love future bounce as well. But we all know that ''to create a brand'' you need to make a signature sound and continue with 1 to 2 genres max so people recognise you with your own style. At this point, Dubstep/Trap is nowhere near to G-House so what the fuck do l fucking do
