    What does repack mean?

    • @DGBricksYT
      @DGBricksYT  Год назад

      I've heard it depends. Sometimes it can indicate a returned product or damaged box that is being sold at a discount due to its faulty packaging. In other cases though it simply means clearance, nothing wrong with the product package. I always look over any boxes I'm purchasing in-store to be sure they're ok!

    I have 10 Dark Trooper battle packs from Tesco clearance for an average of £12.50 each, the UK has better discounts than the US which can work both ways. Really interesting point raised on your podcast, I hope most of these sets are opened and played with due to low RRP. If thats the case and the figure isn't rereleased in any other sets, in a few years we may have a relatively rare and cool looking Star Wars enemy, plus a hallway build that is good enough to create MOCs. I'm hoping for at least a 100% return and selling for at least RRP by Christmas next year. I'm quite hopeful on this one🤞

    • @macbulman9782
      @macbulman9782 Год назад

      Not hopeful in the slightest for this one I see so much stock of it everywhere discounted down to $15 usd not even instore i think the vader vs kenobi set is a better deal for around $10 more on deep discount

    • @DGBricksYT
      @DGBricksYT  Год назад +1

      Thanks for the comment. Yeah, the UK and US markets don't always align. There's zero demand for this set at full RRP. It will take a long time to sell out once it finally retires, which is why I suspect it'll be stuck around RRP around a year after retirement. Of course if you buy low like you have, you can make money selling at RRP. Good luck!

    Do you have any worries that the dark trooper helmet you bought has a repackage sticker versus a clearance sticker? Are the seals good on the set?

    • @DGBricksYT
      @DGBricksYT  Год назад +1

      Very good question. At my local stores "Repackage" just means it's a one-off clearance set. I always check the glue seals or pop-type seals to be sure though.

      I use camelcamelcamel for Amazon price history. There are more in-depth paid tools like Keepa that also give this information. Sometimes I reference google trends as well.

    C’mon bro. Don’t be using Amazon pricing. Selling on Amazon is super complicated and you’ll trick people into this hobby with unrealistic returns.

    • @DGBricksYT
      @DGBricksYT  Год назад +1

      Wasn't I pretty clear that amazon pricing is higher than ebay in many cases and it's important to check both?

    • @TM-ii2zu
      @TM-ii2zu Год назад

      @@DGBricksYT The issue is that it's so much harder to get permission to sell on Amazon and they periodically take away permission too. Few people are going to be able to sell on Amazon that it is not representative of actual returns for 99% of people.

    L investing. Just enjoy the hobby. No one in the Lego community rly likes or appreciates you all.
    You DESPERATELY need to get your portfolio up if the most profitable thing for you is Lego.
    It also wont be very profitable in 3 years when the corporate kids' hype is gone.
