I spent about 2 years (late 2003 - early2006) in Srinagar (J&K) during my posting there. We used to call it 'Safed Andhera' (White darkness). At that time, this line was under construction. Best memories.... (Lal Chowk, SHRI HANUMAN MANDIR on the banks of Jhelum Reiver, Shankaracharya Mahadev Ji Mandir, Dal Gate area and Dal Lake, Jeshtha Mata Mandir, Khir Bhawani Mandir, Chashma-e-Shahi, Pari Mahal, Botanical Garden, Nishaat Bagh, Shalimar Bagh, SHRI AMARNATH MAHADEVJI and other places including Baramulla, Uri, Tangdhaar (used to live there in bunkers), Kupwara and other places including Anantnag, Sonmurg, Gulmurg and many other places. i visited Switzerland also but Kashmir is Kashmir.

Hey Satya...its always pleasure to watch your videos and they have changed my prespective of travelling in trains instead of flights.I was unlucky and had to cancel my Kashmir trip due to Covid back in 2020.I am eager to visit Kashimir in near future and your video on this journey has lured me to visit Kashmir.M also awaiting that when the 111 km from Katra to Banihal section which is still pending would be complete and the Kashmir valley would be easily connect by railways from other parts of Indian cities.Hope Railways also observe your efforts in making and promoting Indian railways to such an extend and reward you for your work.Keep it up
