Visiting a Berber Village & Hiking through Ourika Valley | More than we bargained for!

- A daytrip from Marrakesh to the Berber villages was a real learning experience for all of us. The Berbers welcomed us into their homes so that we could get a glimpse of their everyday lives surrounded by the Atlas mountains.
We had no idea that the hike through Ourika Valley was going to be that challenging but it was so worth it.

Thanks so much for taking the time to visit our channel! We are a family of five who love to travel the world together. We hope that we inspire other families to travel the world and leave their comfort zone to learn about other cultures and get to know this wonderful world of ours a little better.
As a Moroccan out of california you guys are such a beautiful family. I love how the older brother is looking after the little trooper. Very sweet.
Thank you. They are very close.
MAROCCO I LOVE IT GREETINGS FROM AMSTERDAM ❤️❤️🇲🇦🇲🇦❤️❤️
Thank you.
The eldest son can easily blend in as a local from Marrakesh cooking tangia. 🤣
Wow, I enjoyed evert single second I spent watching you guys. You make an amazing family ♥ I wish you all the best in your life. Greetings from France!
Thank you so much. That's very nice of you to say. We've been to France a few times and love it there.
اهلا لطيفة و قناتك روعة تشرفت بك
Mister Smith I think u should visit the old people whom live in small villages in Marrakech
I loved this channel a lot, I love those who talk about my country positively, thank you very much
It's such a beautiful country.
Just for information: Argan tree is just grow in Morocco not in Algeria too.
Thanks for sharing your trip in Morocco. I love it
I read somewhere that they also grow in parts of Algeria but maybe that was wrong.
Only in morocco and only a particular part in the south of morocco. You can’t find it in the north for example. A miracle right? Nice video
@@SmithFamilyTravels you're right they do grow in parts of western algeria, he's just another moroccan trying to claim everything as only theirs. Algeria and Morocco share many similarities in terms of our cultures and they do NOT only belong to morocco
@@kittime3807 Montre nous ou se trouvent vos arganiers ,hhhh vous partagez rien du tout avec le Maroc si ce n'est la géographie malheureusement .
@@kittime3807 show us in wich part of Algeria grow the Argan tree, we would like to visit it.
Nice familly we love you from fes morocco ❤️🇲🇦

Welcome ! and thank you ,beautiful family ! Merci..
Thanks for watching!
bio in French means organic egg , welcome to Morocco
Oh, okay. Good to know.
We do not call them berber, we call them Amazigh= freemen
Okay, good to know.
@@SmithFamilyTravels I did really enjoy the video, specifically doing the travel with the family, thank you brother
SmithFamilyTravels yea, because «berber» is a racist term given to us from the greek & arabs historically. And it means something «Wild» from the desert or forest
Chill not everyone says the same thing, most people call them by their tribal group names or the language they speak. Chleuh, Souss, Rif
Best time you have Morocco has a magic power healing... you Truly feel it
Yes, we do.
Beautiful family
Thanks so much.
Welcome to your second home
Bio is a French world means organic in English 👍🏽
Thanks.

You have to visit ifrane, khénifra imouzar,,,,
I don't think that would be interesting for them. Tourists come for the culture and history and the Aldin atmosphere not for nature or mountains..
What a beautiful family 👏🏽♥️

the amazighs (berberes), are not a minority in morocco, but they are minorized by the arabization policy practiced by the moroccan state for decades.

0:48 "berber" is not a sweetable word but it's ok ^^. berber or AMAZIGH ( which mean free people) they are the north africa citizens from morocco to part from egypt, sudan, which include ofc algeria, tunisia, lybia, mauritania and a part from mali (i guess)

We would love to visit Ghana, Botswana, Tunisia, Egypt and South Africa (the list goes on). We need more time off take those kinds of trips but they are on our bucketlist.
@@SmithFamilyTravels Oh wow, great choices - similar to my bucket list! I have also included Rwanda because of a couple of videos I have recently watched. Happy New Year.

Welcome to the Berbers Berbers Amazighs are among the oldest peoples of the world since 3600 years from the history of the Berbers before the arrival of the Arab Muslims to the Amazigh Maghrib the oldest languages of the world and did not turn to our day so that the name of Morocco is the Amazigh of Morocco. They are the ones who innovated in building and opening Andalusia, and they have great scholars such as Ibn Sina, the first physician scientist in the world who experimented with surgical operations in the nine century and teaching. The inventor of the world of mathematics and physics.
Very interesting. Thanks for sharing.

Interesting.
I don’t usually watch vlogs but I genuinely enjoyed watching this one because it’s very instructive and the mom is well informed and teaches her family in a fun way and they seem interested in learning about a new culture. I was brought up that way too.
Thank you so much. We appreciate the feedback.
Hello Smith family, I was thrilled to know that you've enjoyed your stay in Morocco. For "bio eggs" It's a French expression witch means Organic eggs. It's a label designation for organic. In French " Bio "
I should have known that about the word, bio. We had a wonderful time in Morocco. Thanks for watching!
