Loved! I just finished the trail from Amazon Alexa developer documentation "Build an Engaging Alexa Skill" and that gave me the basics to go through this "Zero to hero" challenge
Hi, pretty good video ! I would like to built a skill to allow alexa to speak a string by a routine. But I would like to set that string with an api call to my skill. In other words, I would like to store a string value inside alexa and make her speaks this string when the routine is triggered. I want to set this string from an outside dashboard through a web request. I know that its possible but I need help on that one! It should not have any trigger word and the skills should only speak the variable content or just do nothing if its empty. What can you tell me to send me in the right path? Thanks again!
Dialogflow blows this mess out the water. I just don't understand why I can't establish intents and responses on the same interface. It boggles my mind.
LOST, a total cryptic obfuscated nightmare it would seem. I wonder could the Amazon team make this just a little more complex for the kamikaze hackers out there. What a joke of an implementation, no wonder the majority of Alexa Skills out there are crap. Amazon Dev's need to be rounded up and brought into 2024.
This is almost a year old, and drifting out of date -- behavior of the developer console does not match what is shown here. Unfortunately that seems to be a widespread problem with Alexa and AWS documentation; there doesn't seem to be an active effort to maintain/update/replace outdated information. Unprofessional, and unnecessarily frustrating.

The concept part is very helpful thank you
how to allow a skill to access mobile contacts to send a text Message in LaunchRequest Handler?
I just want to activate a electrical relay... ALexa, Start Coffee. Where do I find how to integrate this technology?
In order to create a skill, there is some cost? I have to pay for it?
Hi Andrea, Thanks a lot for great videos.
My question is: can I create Alexa skill with spring boot? is there any disadvantages?
Loved this video, could you guys make some content with python?

Just for the record, THIS IS NOT A ZERO TO HERO course. It's more like a HERO TO EXPERT course. Just saying!

Exactly what I was thinking.
You'd think an Alexa developer would know the danger of saying Alexa in videos
Before watching this video - you might want to "Mute" your Alexa so she doesn't wake up when the video mentions her name. ;-)
please create a series in python
I'm not going to lie, I just want to learn how to do this so I can make money but good video anyway bro.
