Ok so I have a super important question, if the baby is awake the whole time and wants to break out of the wrap what do you do? We always have wide awake babies with super strong arms and legs :-( Help!
I know. It's just that I thought the baby's legs were folded up against her tummy with no room available for any movement. I've seen lots of videos of swaddling and this is the only one where the legs are squished tightly against the baby's stomach. The cloth might be soft, but seemed very inflexible!
Please remember they have been in the womb (an extremely tight space) for 8-9 months. This is their natural position. If a baby is not happy, they will let you know!!!
Ana Brandt Live in the womb they can move about more freely than this. And it's not natural at this age, f it was natural they stay in the womb longer.
Ridiculous to see thousands and thousands of photographers doing the same, in the end the result looks like the same baby photographed by the same photographer always
+Kala Dwarakanath Baby will let us know if they are not happy. They do not typically stay wrapped like this for too long anyway...but most of the time, swaddling makes them quite content!
I don't see what the appeal is of these photos. 90% of the babies body is covered. Don't parents want to SEE their child's bodies? And almost 100% of these propped unnatural photos are when the child is sleeping...100 years ago (and more), people took pictures of their dead loved ones...even the babies. These photos remind me of that. Anyone seen that scene in The Others when they find the pics of all the dead babies and children. Creepy
+Ana Brandt i have tons of pics of my baby when she was a newborn. It's so nice to actually SEE her tiny feet and compare to her feet now. And seeing her eye color then compared to now melts my heart. Everyone should be able to experience that. oh....but they can't ...because people insist on taking weird photos of their baby while sleeping and almost fully covered.
Love it Ana! I love how you go with what the baby is doing. lovely.
Ana is such an inspiration! Thanks for watching! And be sure to check out Ana's course during Photo Week 2014!

Ana Brandt Live No it isn't.
That fabric doesn't look soft at all.
+riteasrain It is incredibly soft and stretchy. :)
riteasrain it is super soft! I owe like 20 of these and they are amazing! Very soft and extremely stretchy
You need to keep the bottom looser so they can stetch their legs out!
Is this baby immature? Why it is so for little baby who has been delivered from this type swaddling.
so creepy
like like
+Mr Ken Thank you

Everybody now is a COPYCAT.
That's too much fabric and wrapping. The baby's body will get over heated.
