If only we could have that Biden again...
There's great value in uploading these episodes for free to us many years later. Thanks for doing so!
It feels weird knowing what happens while listening to fears of the future. It feels like rereading a book and seeing the foreshadowing I missed the first go around... 😢
Well, on the downside, we can fell that fear again right now.
Feels illegal to be this early. Especially when Im 8 years late.
You have got to make a new episode dedicated to Turkey and Erdoğan, just like the one you did for Berdimohammedov of Turkmenistan. Turkey has been on a freefall ever since 2016, a good cautionary tale of a once a “democracy with problems” is now a full fledged totalitarian regime.
Christ that Mount Rushmore joke really aged well
Is anyone else seeing Biden in this old clip with shock? Like it’s hard to remember that he used to have that kind of energy?
Yeah save the "John aged rapidly" jokes for that guy. What the hell happened there?
@@Onigirli The last 8 years happened...
"democracy being shot" you jinxed it lol
Time is circular, not linear.
I am just glad that Trump as a convicted felon is no longer allowed in Canada. Thank you.
Give the supreme court a couple of weeks, and they will have upturned that as well.
It's crazy that two incredibly disliked candidates can be so close in polls, John.
Luckily, we've moved past that haven't we.
Haha.
Ha.
Ha.
I appreciate how you & I partaking in this marathon simultaneously
The first piece would still fit perfectly with his episode on voter suppression. It’s chilling
"comparing him to a medieval cult of assassins" likely means they are comparing him to the literal first Order of Assassins, from which the word gets its name. They were an Ismaili esoteric Islamic group who fought against Turkish rule, and Gulen is an esoteric Islamic preacher who similarly (according to Erdogan) fights against Turkish rule
I remember when state disenfranchisement of voters, especially by race, was uncommon
We were so innocent then. Sad
I made a playlist in the correct order...

Thanks bro!
Ha ha that is NOT the same Biden we saw at the debate the other night 😂😂😂
didnt do enough to stop what's coming, john. I'm sorry. I'm scared.
Hey, how ya doin' 2016, its 2024, and uh, look, we're sorry, so sorry, just, sigh, sorry

I got to meet Khizrt Khan later that year. I hope he and his family are doing well, especially in light of this campaign season.
As a former Baltimore resident, I miss Senator Mikulski.
--> That description of Tim Kaine was perfect!
No John. You're wrong. That horse is glue now.
By the looks of it, things are not getting better or worse in the United State
The way these clips are ordered gives me a slight headache (likely from having uploaded them separately and then published all at once).
They should be published one after the other, even if it's just a few seconds between making each video public
First world problems. Maybe spend less time on RUclips
Oh boy, less than a minute in and I'm already reminded of the year of horrors that was 2016... was reminiscing recently with a friend that I realized that was the year that really everything started feeling shittier. Not just in the world, also in my personal life. Crazy how impactful certain aspects of the world can be. Hope you Americans don't vote for the orange horror again this year... would be great if things could slowly start getting better again.
26:35 that “fucking” came from his *soul*
First appearance of Jacked Up Joe.😅
8 years is a short time once you cross 70. It can go downhill fast
John Allen needed a gig with WWE. That's some serious mic work!
Ya know that water jetpack guy kinda looks like Kaine
*deletes a 5000 page essay comment about the issue with calling Turkey "diet Syria"*
It's fairly entertaining seeing both Trump and Biden before being president.
A two party system lead by the elderly, how is this still a thing?
29:23 Rock on, humpty-dumpty guy!! itz hope time, itz healing time, itz Hillary time, itz hope time
Man, seeing how much better Biden looked 8 years ago is startling.
Where was that Joe Biden in the debate?
I'm rooting for Mother nature to win. People always disappoint and disgust.
i hope all of the Bernie supporters who were enraged when Hillary got the nomination are fucking happy now
Yup... I'll never forgive them 🤬
Why would they be? I don't have any statistics at hand, but I'm pretty sure most Bernie supporters ended up voting for her.
@@kierandouble6414 if that is in fact true, then i apologize for my erroneous implication
Wow, Biden has aged a lot in 8 years. I mean yeah, obviously. But 72 year-old Biden was still pretty fiery and vital, especially for someone who was 72. 80 year-old Biden is still quite impressive for someone who is 80. But “some who is 80” is doing a lot of work in that sentence. He’s still been an impressively successful president who has accomplished a lot under extremely challenging circumstances. But he should have stuck to his promise of being a caretaker for one term.
70 should be the cut off point for entering top level politics
@@martinjrgensen8234 I dunno, if we made rate cutoff 70 we would have lost Nancy Pelosi 14 years ago and there is no question she was highly effective well into her 70s and that Democrats would have lost an important and valuable fighter for their cause. Biden was quite effective in his first term. And anyway, term or age limits are clearly unconstitutional for elected federal representatives. Age isn’t really the problem. Age and narcissism are the problem, along with an unwillingness to use social sanction against older people who are occupying important positions and need to step aside to let younger people take over.
"greatest country on earth" how delusional
Damn that clip of biden..
That was a shock to be reminded of after this debate
🇫🇮😟
Thanks John and crew!
In 2024 seeing Joe this coherent is staggering
14:50 Aged poorly
Just like he (Biden) did!
