    I think for better understanding, you have to show a picture of the tongue positions, the right way and the wrong way.

    Hi! When i make the "hee" tongue position, i just can get no useful sound, only squeaks.

    Hi Morrie, it appears that Jose Franch-Ballester doesn't play with anything on his teeth. I'm sure you were there in the room with him. Can you confirm? In general do the clarinetists you work with play with paper/ezo/etc. on their bottom teeth? I'm just curious for saxophonists. By the way, I love all the high-quality content you're putting out. It's so helpful for the music community! I wish I played clarinet so I could try all of your offerings.

    A clarinetist who bites a lot is like a singer who sings from the throat: they don't know what it means to sing/play from the diaphragm. The biter is always tense and uncomfortable; lacks beauty of tone and dynamics; he chokes off the tone.
