It's insane to think that these flowers take so much time and effort on the plant's part to make, only for it to wither and wilt away in a fraction of the time it took to grow. Truly an object of impermanent beauty.

Me too mate. Me too...
I'm about a 3rd into the video and I started laughing so hard. My brain connected the name of the flower and the music. This calming flowing piece of the Nutcracker, and then the Corpse flower. Also realized while typing this the name of the piece is Waltz of the Flowers.. and it's a flower... very clever
Me:
Don’t say it
Don’t say it
Don’t say it
Don’t say it
Don’t say it
Don’t say it
*looks like a penis*
XD
Christian Kerr The Latin name actually means „giant deformed penis“
We were all thinking it. Someone had to say it.
Emily Martin omg CONFORMED
it *is* a penis
Woah! That is wild seeing it’s petals open and close in this time lapse. It looked like it was embracing itself or doing a theatrical dance - a butterfly emerging from its caccoon. And the climactic ending of it withering, almost collapsing in utter defeat. Wow! Better than opera!!! 🎭
I agree! Though I felt like the end was more of a dramatic bow ^^
What the fuck where u smoking when u wrote this?
you should BE in opera! That description!
Girl: "Show me what that tongue can do..."
Perry: "hold my watering can"
Aaahahaha 🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂
LOL
👅😂😂😂
Amazing! This is one of the largest flowers in the world and it’s incredibly rare! That’s soo cool! Would love to see one in person! Cool vid yo. Thanks for sharing
RUclips: recommends me something that has to do with plants
Me: clicks it by accident
RUclips: _so ya like plants now_
i did that with tennis a few weeks ago, it's hard to get rid of it again.
Aren't these plants nearly impossible to flower outside their natural environment? If so gg folks
I think so.. indonesia has the same plant ..called Rafflesia arnoldi .. has a large flower
We have a few in our yard here on Guam, USA. Yes, the tropics. Started with one They multiply and stink!
Late reply but you confused with *raflesia alnordii* which can only live in their environment & cant be planted to another place (similar to pochini / pine mushroom) coz it has "network" root connected together
Flower in this video called *titan arum* & can be grown anywhere as long as new place meet required environment (tropical weather condition). Many american garden grow this flower inside greenhouse with controlled weather condition
@@janetarmstrong7010 where is guam?
It's cute, the ending - it's like the plant bows when the music ends.
doggonemess it died
doggonemess im thinking the same
doggonemess yet kinda dark because the plant not only bowed after its “performance”, it was its first, final and only performance it ever did...
Hannah Baker no shit
Hannah Baker it will growback though it didnt really died..
RUclips recomending this to me 6 years later. This must have meaning some kinda like 2020 scheme
Takes a month to grow.
Blooms for 2 days.
Dies.
Ok then?
I guess Perry's a *corpse* now
Just like a communist
You missed the part where it only blooms once every 10 years
Watching a display like this doesn't make me want to be a robot anymore.
- Love mother nature and being part of all her creation.
