Miranda Rights were "forced" into LE usage June 13, 1966. LEOs are still very bitter about affording rights to criminals - which everyone of us are somehow, just haven't been caught yet by all means possible including vouyerism, stalking, trespassing, assault...
In that giant empty building filled with many more people needed to staff it and so many sheriff deputies standing around doing nothing. And James being the only member of the public in that entire complex, why are the taxpayers forced to fund that nonsense? Defund it and shut it down.

Yep, I can agree that there is an incredible waste and James is the waste. He sets up the situation to get exactly this type of conflict and confrontation because all of YOU lick it up and think he's doing wonderful work. Other than "because it's his right to do it", can anyone here explain a valid reason why a grown man with a camera needs to go into a juvenile court office and record? These public servants sure are good at making things more difficult than they need to be. If you don’t know your job or the laws, ask someone or do some research, but don’t just bark out orders that you assume are true and expect that people must obey you. Be proud to be a public servant or find work elsewhere!
These agencies need to put you on the payroll James the way you be training their staff
I keep asking him the same question! What's the end game? We get it and you say it's about education, so develop a curriculum to teach public officials how to engage with the public. Auditors should have an end game in mind as far as how to improve the services and engagement with the public.
@@alanquinn4842 there’s a guy named Sean at “long island audit” who actually does do trainings with police departments but as far as TTA all I can say is he seems like a very calculated person so I’m sure he has a end goal of some sort. And overall I think auditing is kind of new to a lot of people so they’ll probably develop a plan as they go
@alanquinn4842 It is an AUDIT, similar to a test. IRS auditors do not tell you it's about to happen, they come and check the numbers and it is the taxpayer that should should know all the laws regarding their filings.

I was around back in the late 80s and 90s when black MEN started using this term especially in rap music and arguing that it was different from the n-word with a hard "r" on the end and was not racist and was even a term of endearment when used by one Black person to another. Again, it was black MEN who led the charge in using this word. Black people have to decide if this word is okay or if it is not.

I appreciate the fact that you come and do things in person. Alot of places try and push you to do things online. But people like me would much rather do a lot of things in person. I can definitley do it online, but I like the old school way , also Online sometimes websites dont work, they crash , or it may even be more difficult to navigate. So im glad you remind them that in person is still an option. Keep doing what you doing.
that's the problem in this day and age just because there's internet they think that they can just tell you to do it online. not everyone has a computer and the website on your phones internet isn't easy to navigate. they want you to do it online so they don't have to do it. I think that in most states that it would be a law that guarantees that you can fill out public records request

When my Besty and I are out in public, if I want to say something to her that I don’t want other people to hear, I don’t ask everybody to clear the area so they don’t hear sensitive information! We go somewhere where people are not around, and then divulge sensitive information. How can people be so confident in their uneducated opinions of the law !. Good auditors are the best course of corrections for this, and one day finding people who infringe on you’re rights will be rare . It’s just getting through all this ugliness is hard for some people and I get that, but if we don’t fix it now, it will never be fixed, it will only get worse.

Actually, Illinois is the only judicial system in the country that has exempted itself from FOIA because they are not specifically named in the legislation. Even for general budget and personnel info. There are attempts to change the law but it hasn't happened yet as far as I know.

The guy was sort of right: the probation records have been determined to be judicial records exempt under IL FOIA. But once you explained that you were looking for records regarding the employees rather than looking for probation records, he should have understood the distinction. If you give him a request for records about employees in the probation department, they should accept it and forward it to the county clerk (not the same as clerk of the circuit court; the circuit clerk is different from the county clerk).

The Probation Dept employee was totally misinformed needs a total sweep of that dept especially if they been doing that for 30yrs. They are clueless and the entitlement Al verbiage is crazy. Our building, our office. The entire cook county is infested with these type of employees they just don’t get it. The lack of professionalism is sickening but the cops did an awesome job.
