Thanks, three days ago I purchased the same exact one as yours with the same issues you had. I'm currently modifying mine as you did for free vending. Excellent video and thanks a million.
Hi, I’m so glad I came across your video about the Cavalier Uss-8-64 Coca Cola Vending Machine. Great idea and job on taking out the change box mechanism and putting in the button! Mine was my Dad’s and it was at his place of business for years. I hadn’t seen it for a while and when I inherited it and saw it, I noticed it had a PEPSI marquee instead of a Coca Cola marquee on it! I’m going to sell it but would like to replace the marquee with the correct one, Coca Cola. If you could show how or tell how to replace the marquee, I would greatly appreciate it! I found a marquee in a frame for it but I don’t know if I just need the marquee or the frame also. Thank you in advance. 😊
Randy I'm looking to verify the wiring for dispensing beverages like your set up. Jump 1-5, Jump 2-4, connect 3 and 1-5 to each side of momentary switch, correct?
The button is momentary, normally open. See my wiring drawing for the way to connect it. Yours should be the same or very similar. The jones plug pin-out may change from model year to model year but most are like my drawing.
Very nice work. I recently bought the exact same model machine. It worked great. Until I moved it to the back room. Now it won't vend. It button activates the actuator. But the selectors will not turn. Is there a locking device or tilt lock that activates when the Machine is moved? I an not well versed at trouble shooting. Once the problem is identified I can fit it with some research. I just don't want to make anything worse. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I'm not sure. I didn't have that issue with mine when I hauled it back from Ohio to Pa. Look in the back on the bottom of the vending rack. I believe there's a locking cam down there that engages. Maybe yours is stuck or came loose during the move.
@@randywayne7323 I hope this text finds you healthy. I've enjoyed your videos. I am restoring this exact Coke machine. Can you please send me the drawings to wire it for free vending. mgkennewick@gmail.com Thank you! Keep posting
I happen to work at an HVAC controls distributor so I got the push button from work. The rest I think I mentioned in the video. Most of it I got at Lowes.
You can buy the shelfs & almost anything else for these machines @ funtronics.com & sodajerkworks.com I fix & restore these square top machines, I work on the round tops too, but mostly the square tops! In about 10 years the square tops will start bringing some big money, Mark my words

Beautiful piece of machinery. You don't see too many of these around in service anymore. I'm hoping that someday, I'll own one of these.
man vs machine < you are a winner!
Pretty ingenious!!
Thanks!
This video helped me out big time. Thanks! And Cheers!
Glad it helped!
This was cool. I was looking for a video that helped set dip switches to increase coin count.
Cool, thanks!
Check out Grand American Jukebox. They have parts for some machines. FYI.
Hey! Anybody know the weight on this? Trying to buy one
Do you know how to remove the round knob tops behind the glass panel so I can clean them and repaint?
No, I haven't tried to remove the panels. It sits in my garage so I don't worry about it much. Just the occasional blow out of the condenser section.
Randy! I just bought one! I need a little more detail on the wiring? Is a schematic available anywhere?
What a find! (your post)
i could use this as well LOL I have a C96E from 63 that is very similar that was missing the coin mech. This is exactly how I want mine to work!
If you want the wiring diagram to do the free vend, just email me at zke3ck@gmail.com. I can tell you what parts to get also that I used.
I’ll shoot you an email I need some help on my USS-96

I have the same coke machine. Time to sell it!
I use mine every day. Not planning to sell it anytime soon.
Mine works perfect as well too. Just 3car garage has gotten so small in past 20yrs!

Do you know how to change the price in this model I have this same one but can't figure it out.
No clue. My coin mech was shot so I just made it free vend.
Hello! Can you provide me with a bulb part# for the square top.
1978 Cavalier Uss-8-64 p
Thank you
What colors on the connector are certain numbers?
The jones plug is numbered on the plug itself.
It's a cool machine. Why not fix it up to original condition. Might as well toss a six pack of Coke in your kitchen fridge.
What was cost of buying this machine? Also what will it be worth after you fix it?
After it was all said and done I have less than $200 in it. I'm sure, if I wanted to dump it, I can get $800 for it.
Hey can u tell me where to get parts for that I have 2
I happen to work at an HVAC controls distributor so I got the push button from work. The rest I think I mentioned in the video. Most of it I got at Lowes.
