A lot of horror stories thrive not because of blood, gore and scary monsters but because of the chilling unseen that connects viewers to the plots. The characters are definitely a trump card to connect the audiences. This movie undoubtedly lacks that. This movie doesn't lack creepiness but lacks the depth of the story. Character development is definitely not a thing in this movie hence, audience can't build empathy. Many movie cliches such as: Wife has developed huge purple rings around her eyes and husband goes like "babe are you okay"; or she just levitated 8 feet above the floor and he goes like" Emma, please babe" I don't know how I would have answered to these questions. Sunkesari should have a better reasons than a break-up to come to an extravagant boutique hotel (hotels like that are expensive $$$). Except for the outside looks, the bedrooms looked pretty mediocre (I wouldn't spend money on that bedroom) with one butler who does everything (not very hotel like convenience). I like the idea that the characters acted normal even after the violent attacks by the unseen forces because they don't remember the attack. It's like they time-lapsed the event; but at the same time, they feel the eerie. So, they don't necessarily have to act crazy quite yet. Also, the latest ideology of the horror genre is that they can't attack and possess the living in one shot. They have to do that gradually and that they have rules of nature. This is expected in every horror stories now a days. Smarter audiences are big time analysts of this concepts. Having said that, when ghosts start to haunt, they haunt from backgrounds; when they start in foreground, they will not go back to background. This movie missed that too. The ghosts were showing themselves half way through and acting mysterious later in the story, and showing back again. It also looked more like a prequel of better and awesome, yet to happen part two, since many scenes were left unexplained or they were unnecessary if you don't connect the reason for those scenes. I really hope they connect all these in their sequel. I used to make horror movies with my cousins and siblings for fun when I was a teen. Not saying that I am better; not saying that it's easy either. In fact, horror stories are one of the hardest of genres because of the balance it requires, specially for today's audiences. Hope we are helping writers with our reviews to improve and keep up their good works!

Our movie industry was failing big time in 90 and early 2000s. I really want to support this revival and provide my feedbacks in hope that they read them and improve further. I feel like the Nepali panel of critics were supposed to analyze these details; but they lack it unfortunately. Sorry it was too long though!

Atmosphere, fear, endless night and mystery should needed. And others are : the fantastic factor, the un-factor, the lethal factor, the story factor , the primal factor , emotional response , ghosts, violence and dark imagery , whick gives your story success. There should be : 1). They explore 'malevolent' or 'wicked' characters deeds or phenomena. 2). They arouse feeling of fear, shock or disgust as well as the scene of the uncanny. 3). The scene should be unknown , mysterious and creepy which I can't find in 'sunkesari'. 4). Horror movie should have perfect tone and environment Jun chai sunkesari ma thena. 5). They should contain scary , shocking and twist and story reveal but in sunkesari there is nothing of these types. In sunkesari: Sudden change of tone after shocking presentation. Love song. Comedy and humor. Few character. Inappropriate haunt of ghost. Moving object in front of the character but it should move in back of character which shows fear environment. There should be a few moments of romance buy not music and song. Sudden change in day and night. Not so creepy. Ghost haunt paxi suddenly change of setting . Till mid of film there is no properly haunt of ghost. Child look like normal child (normal ko place child lae fearful herauna ma focus garnu parne). Presentation of ghost is not good enough. Main character vanda primary character lay ghost ko presence pahila tha paunu parne . Emma ma ghost haunt gareko way quite appreciated xaina. Characters ko behavior ghost haunt paxi tni haru ko eye ma ger hunu parthyo rather than their physical behavior. Ghost haunt Huda Character ma , character behave like as if they are mad which effect the horrifying environment of film. Ghost lay kta lae easy way ma na marerw tesko eye ma fear dhekhaerw mareko vae superb hunthyo. But in this film theme and ending xaina. Kasailay vanethyo ki yo film horrified xa but I don't think so . Mailay afnai horrible story lekheko hunalay "sunkesari" khasai darlagdo lagena . For that I am really sorry but only one time I wanna meet with the director and writer of this film.......... .
didi, I had three options : ae mero hajur, Dhanapati and this one (because i wanted to know how's our film industry going) So, ali farak bhaneko yehi thiyo, therefore picked this. This is one hell of a movie....Fantastic job done by Arpan Thapa...It does seems like the combination of paranormal activity, ragini mms and 1920 but at the end u start getting the sunkesari vibe and it did manage to scare the shit of me in some of the scenes....Dialogues and transition definitely needs some improvement but overall it a must watch for every Nepali audience....High hopes from the second part...Peace✌

Movie is good, but as a well wisher and from a viewer’s point of view, I would like to give some constructive feedback which can be taken positively for future references. 1- story must be extremely good and must be well presented and related from one sequence to another. 2- filters can be used to make it look more intense, with some smokes used to make it look more creeper. (Not just using HD camera only) 3- actors are very good but camera person behind must use the camera in a very creative way so that audience can be glued till the end. Lastly, on a positive note, movie was good but if the film makers can take feedback from all viewers then the next horror movie will be bomb 🔥.

This is one hell of a movie....Fantastic job done by Arpan Thapa...It does seems like the combination of paranormal activity, ragini mms and 1920 but at the end u start getting the sunkesari vibe and it did manage to scare the shit of me in some of the scenes....Dialogues and transition definitely needs some improvement but overall it a must watch for every Nepali audience....High hopes from the second part...Peace✌

Thriller n horror movies r all about eerie music,sound effect camera angle n acting.
Just for the sake of a sequel, they didn't even bother to include some back story in detail. So much potential and yet ruined.
amends are for correction but hats off to the new step in the horror genre in NEPAL. Its a treat to watch #sunkesari

Acting by Rabindra Jha was great, but the plot could not explain what was going on with the characters and the child artists. Please work on storyline too.

Movie is good, but as a well wisher and from a viewer’s point of view, I would like to give some constructive feedback which can be taken positively for future references.
1- story must be extremely good and must be well presented and related from one sequence to another.
2- filters can be used to make it look more intense, with some smokes used to make it look more creeper. (Not just using HD camera only)
3- actors are very good but camera person behind must use the camera in a very creative way so that audience can be glued till the end.
Lastly, on a positive note, movie was good but if the film makers can take feedback from all viewers then the next horror movie will be bomb 🔥.
