This video especially having the hips braced back before going down has fixed my back pain squatting. Got two disc bulges- watched Alan Thrall and starting strength, but this ones got me going properly injury free 🙏

Would you recommend the same cues and sequence for someone with a narrow low bar stance?

Hey, David. I have a question about stance width - should you take a stance width that allows for the greatest hip mobility i.e. the test where someone pushes your knee as high as it can go (up into your chest) and the angle where it is closest to your chest is the best stance width for an individual or should one train into the widest stance?

Does this apply to front squats as well?

Mostly no, front squat requires different torso angle

But isn't that butt wink at the bottom? That bending saps your strength and causes back pain later
You fix that by bracing (getting hips and rib cage to act a if they're locked together by tensing) and in your case ankle flexibility to have knees MUCH more forward..
That winking (bending in lower back at bottom of squat) is going to cause you a lot of problems. You can do air squats holding a stick vertically to head, shoulders and butt.
