I actually think that Lego could use these helmet molds for Clone Commandos as well; which could be why the front on the helmet is more elongated compared to the in universe version. I put this helmet on a clone body with the Paz armor piece and it looks like what I personally would expect a Lego version to be.
@@smol578 While I’m not the type of person who says that Lego always penny pinches, I personally think that the mold is near perfect, and could save them money on a new mold.
Yeah in a battle pack the black heads are almost preferable imo. I know it’s just a way to save money for lego, but they make the figures feel more massible if that makes any sense
Yeah, if you're only buying a few figures, it's kinda sad to not be able to take their helmets off and personalize them. But once you get into army building, you might hardly ever take off their helmets. It's partially why Clone Troopers are my favorite figures. They were already my favorites in Star Wars because of the Prequels and the Clone Wars, but Lego has an easy time with them since they have the same face.
Quite the contrary. No one watched season 3 of The Mandalorian last year. This year still no one cares, but chances are more people *might* have seen it since then.
I think this set's amazing if you view it as a build/battle texture set. All the slope pieces make great natural looking cover for any baseplate battles/builds.
I really like the use of the black heads, as it gives a better "sealed helmet" look. I dislike how you can see the Mandalorian's skin color at certain angles, especially from behind.
I bought two of these to go with the Paz vs Gideon set (one to go on either side) and I’m very happy with the little display they’re able to create when combined!
I really know what you mean about the commando figs, I was super excited for them and they're still nice but once I had them in hand they lost a little lustre. The build though isn't great for me. Terrain is nice if you're picking up 10+ to make a massive actual cave but stray rock pieces don't do much for me.
3:33 when you say knock off, it really reminds me of the knock off crosshair. Other than the black line above the visor it looks fine and its not needed but would of love to see helmet holes on this.
Yeah, I agree. I don’t have much experience with knock off legos or customs, but when I saw the design of the imperial commandos I thought it was just another fake set 😶 3:16
If you place the mando behind the wall where the sniper is half in half out with the sniper it make for a cool cover angle and look from sniping behind cover 👍
Look, it may not seem like much, but I like the idea that Lego added an accurate scenario rather than a speeder or generic tower, and I also like the idea of being able to combine it with another scenario from a set.A or battlepack, thus transforming it into a MOC Imagine a battlepack based on the 327 legion and using pieces from Felucia's environment like the avatar sets would be cool, And I like the new mold of the Imperial Commado helmet and I think it could go perfectly with a clone commado from Lego I decide to make one day
Happy summer season dude✌️, and I feel that I would buy more than 3 sets of that battle pack. I did miss watching your other video of pass visla and moff gideon battle set, but still can't wait to buy it, and make the conection to this BP for an army fight count on.
Not sure if anyone has already pointed out that the first figure you showed in the review, the helmet printing doesn't match the box art or instructions. I noticed when building my own set and called Lego to let them know. I've had no update as to how this happened. I've not checked the Mandalorian episode to see which is the most accurate yet.
I have checked the episode now and it appears that the box art is the correct print. So I'm not sure if someone set the print machine up wrong or Lego actually changed it for some reason. It's kind of disappointing as the box art version looks so much nicer in my opinion.
I think Lego could use that helmet mold for Crosshair from the bad batch making a little more accurate to Crosshair’s helmet we could even get his armor from the first episode of Bad Batch
I think this is an amazing set for terrain building in a moc. cause you get all these slope pieces and wedge plates and you can sell of the figures if you wanna save more money
I like the troops in this battle pack but i wish it was either made it like the new droid battle so we got more of each figure or 2 seperate packs for the commandos or mandos
I'm not a big fan of the build but the minifigures look pretty good, especially the Mandalorians. I'd maybe give it a 7 or 8, because the build is very static unlike the vehicles that most battle packs have, and also Mandalorians are generally pretty unique compared to most other types of soldiers so you wouldn't necessarily want an army of them (though I appreciate that both the Mandalorians are unique in themselves) While I do appreciate the fact that the two sets combine well, I don't think a set should be valued off of another set so that doesn't up the value for me. All Lego sets should be playable separately or together, that's the point of having them made out of Lego
The cannon with the stud shooter bothers me. Mainly because of the darkgray part in the middle. the 2023 332nd battle pack cannon used a superior part for this imo.
Hey Ryan! I built a multi build with this set and would like to know your opinion on it since you mentioned combining sets, just a fun challenge build with using all pieces with the set and a few extra for support
Why would you consider the back printing unnecessary? Would it not look totally weird if it was absent on the figure? I mean sure the figs have an accessory that covers most of it but heaven forbid you ever take the jetpack off it would look awful. That being said I’m still in love with you Ryan.
It’s funny how the newer clone helmet is too square and has the visor too low compared to the reference material and then the imperial commando helmet is to rounded and has the visor too high.
The lines on the helmet are kind of thick but the style guide graphic designers have to follow at LEGO push that. They want thicker lines usually. At least the style guide was like that when I was working on graphic design projects for them it might have changed. I personally think most people that make customs don’t follow that look & it can be a bit strange…especially when UV printed. LEGO wants consistency with the torsos & fig prints so the style guide has thick lines. I agree they could have been a bit thinner on the helmets. Great review 👍
How about a 3 in 1 set with this battle pack, the bunker set and the tie intercepter vs fang fighter set? I live in Europe so I can’t buy the 3 in 1 set but I think it would still be cool
Mandr will you do the same thing as you did with dark troopers set and the boarding on the tantive by buying multiples of the set and making it larger and or combining them.
The commandos look pretty good to me, then again I don’t waste money on knock off lego or bad customs so. Don’t have the financial opportunities to do that 😂
Look who decided to show up for work
Someone else made this joke on the last video. It was funny.
A, look, the Lego starwars minifigure disigner finally decided to show up for work 😅
He’s just chilling bro
The absolute daggers thrown with “it was” is hilarious to me.
bro is mad he got cooked TWICE
Best battle pack we've had in a while, the builds that I normally throw into my parts bin anyway can now actually be used to build terrain and such
Agreed very useful parts.
I actually think that Lego could use these helmet molds for Clone Commandos as well; which could be why the front on the helmet is more elongated compared to the in universe version. I put this helmet on a clone body with the Paz armor piece and it looks like what I personally would expect a Lego version to be.
I dont think they would reuse a mold like that
@@smol578 While I’m not the type of person who says that Lego always penny pinches, I personally think that the mold is near perfect, and could save them money on a new mold.
Looks nothing like a commando helmet.
@@dannyiel0618 looks nothing like a commando helm
@@smol578 Well, cuz they’re printed as an Imperial Commando, they ain’t gonna look like Clone Commandos.

The fact that the two mandalorians didn't have the same leg print is amazing because Lego does that all the lime in battle packs
Not gonna lie I was beginning to think you forgot about this review/set lol

Mosaic sets from like 3 years ago 💀
Been waiting for this review
About time this vid was released
Ryan's a real G for getting this review out so early
I legit just picked this set up from a LEGO store today. Crazy timing.
I'm glad its a battle pack with scenery and looks great displayed!
Ryan uploading absolutely makes my day. Thanks Ryan!
It’s nice seeing an actual way to connect theses sets a lot like the tantive hallway set it also gives a good reason to buy more of the set
This would have sold better if it came out last year
Edit
The commando helmet would have been excellent on crosshair
Just give him a new helmet
Quite the contrary. No one watched season 3 of The Mandalorian last year. This year still no one cares, but chances are more people *might* have seen it since then.
@@___David__ what are you talking about? Some millions of people watched it
@@Vor1kiregardless nobody cared about it
Im so glad that they don't put stud shooters in battle packs anymore (edit: for the minifigures)
Glad you got back from your trip.
People who liked season 3 of The Blandalorian will for sure love to army build with this battle pack.
Those 5 people will be thrilled 😂
I am one of those 5 people. The imperial commandoes are dope
Womp womp grow up
Womp womp 🫵🏻😦🫵🏻, 🤜🏻😢🤛🏻
As a MOC/diorama enjoyer I freaking LOVE the build and the parts that it uses
the minifigures dont have facial heads how will ever make my tomboy mandalorian mini fig now?!1!1!1!1!😭😭😭
The main thing I would change would be an updated range finder, and updated weapons. They look oversized and out-of-date.
I hope I don’t get the heads mixed up😊
The variety of textures in the kisluxbag pack is impressive. From smooth leather to textured suede, there's something for everyone.
I was looking for your review of this an hour ago!
Pretty useful parts for a battle pack at least.
I love the two Mandalorians, they look really good, with detailed printing

I agree
another W vid Ryan keep up the good work
Wow a review. I was starting to think Ryan would never review the June sets
First Battle Pack where I'd love to have dozens of the build to make a nice MOC with!
I bought two of these to go with the Paz vs Gideon set (one to go on either side) and I’m very happy with the little display they’re able to create when combined!
I will definitely pick a couple up 😊
We all wanted Koska Reeves though!
We really loved building this one!
I love this set and will enjoy building up my army with it. I'm also interested in the alt builds that come about for this set.
I really know what you mean about the commando figs, I was super excited for them and they're still nice but once I had them in hand they lost a little lustre.
The build though isn't great for me. Terrain is nice if you're picking up 10+ to make a massive actual cave but stray rock pieces don't do much for me.

Kind of like a smaller version of the clones vs droids battle pack

exactly what i was thinking.
Personally I really like terrain builds in battle packs. It’s a great way to get parts for moc builds
Bro it came out in may! It’s nearly July you been living under a rock of summit
Thank you for helping me figure out what was bothering me...they are oddly long😅
So that helmet for the storm trooper commanders would actually be really good for bad batch cross hair helm but it’s missing the range finder
The new imperial mando helmet is perfect for Crosshair

The nock off feel is real!

Great review ryan, im definitely hoobg to get this set so i jave more pieces for custom figs.
This is the way.
Re-watching these episodes, I noticed some commandos with red accents on their helmets. We need some mandr shop variants

The eye slits need some sort of outline I feel. They look weird just being solid black, like there's no depth to it.
