Excellent run, Ashley! Bummer on the suited AK vs. the pocket 4's. I was in an online tourney yesterday and my AK offsuit shove got knocked out vs. 4-5 diamonds when my hand completely whiffed the runout and opponent paired a 4. Oh, well, maybe next time. Keep the great vlogs coming! 👍

My experiences w AK is not consistent. I’ve lost more w AK than gained. Personally would of folded the 8k shove because any pair beats me. 3-4K call for me to see the flop and evaluate.

Nice vlog as always Ash. Just a question tho: Why are you raising so small over limps? When you open to 3BB oop vs 1 limp or 2.7BB vs 2 limps IP, people will just call with anything playable that they limped right?

I'm not saying I blame you for jamming with the AK, but against a player like that I think it's worth waiting for a decent pair; since they're just so likely to pay you off if they're calling with hands like that.

4's a lucky number in asian culture... not sure if 'mister all-in with a 4' is asian but, if so, that may explain it. Great video as usual. You're the gold standard imho!

Four is unlucky in Asian culture. It sounds similar to the word “death” in Chinese. Elevators have F instead of 4.

If someone is sunrunning, just avoid them. You saw him knock out a lot of other people. If you would've just called pre, whiffed the flop, then you can just fold.

There’s really no nice way to say this but you can stop with the push/fold charts and solver BS mid vlog. No one is watching this to learn, nor do you need to show these to justify moves you made. Just tell us the story of what happened. The strategy charts comes across super cringy
