I live in California and I drive my butter to a warmer Arizona and back. It’s 8 hours of driving and butter’s perfect!
While you're in Arizona be sure to stock up on the products that are illegal here in California !
Lol 😅
Lol
BEST ANSWER EVER!!!
I literally used this hack twice too soften a whole block of butter and it works
This is amazing! But is there anything else you can do with the boiling water aside from draining it? Like is there something else it can be used for?
Do you mean, like a spoon of instant coffee or that crappy, nasty hot coco power or a weiner or dehydrated eggs or a tea bag ?
My favourite is
Just remove it from fridge and leave it in openn for 10 to 12 minutes
I take my butter out from the fridge then leave in room the temperature, until softens, then easy to spread. Keeping my brain normal.
Wooow Thank you so much 🙏❤🙏❤🙏❤
You're welcome 😊
Gotta factor in the time it takes to boil the water also
Or grate it on your cheese grater. Instantly ready.
The microwave does it in about 45 seconds
Just cook it in short 10-15 second bursts and rotate it around so it doesn't turn liquid
Or microwave The way simpler option
Nice one.😊👍
😀👌
Amazing video Amazing 👏 Amazing 👏
Thank you!
Or you can heat your butter for like 5 seconds or let it soften by letting it out
Thanks so much greetings from Dubai ❤️ plz put a heart
You’re welcome!
I order the food it takes 15 to 30 minutes (i don't need to wash the dishes:) )
Brilliant
I thought she was going to dunk the butter in the hot water 🤪
Oh no haha 😃
It's great I am always worried about it how, when my boys suddenly say make a cake👍😍thanks
Perfect, you can try this method next time 😊😊
@@Natashaskitchen ❤
Microwave?
10 secs low microwave power softened butter let me know in the comments if you feel validated
I usually shout and complain at the butter for a minute and a half and it softens in humility. Works every time.
😂😂😂😂😂
This is the one
Reminds me of Candace screaming at cheese 😂
Lol
That part😂😂
I sleep on the butter overnight and it’s perfect the next morning.
Lol !!!
Ewww...no thanks..
ha ha ha lol. I honestly hadn't thought of that.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hahahha ...
12-13 seconds in the microwave for a full stick, and you're done.
Same
I don't have one so I will try that out 😓
IKR??
13, yes
That’s what she said
My favourite "hack" I guess is with cold butter when you need to spread it on bread, etc. Instead of getting a knife, use a potato peeler on the butter. It creates very thin slices of butter which are easier to spread, great for toast in the morning.

Life saver, thank you!
Did this and it just gets stuck
OMG THANK U
This is how to soften your butter in only 5 minutes
Me: wait... You need several minutes for that?
😂😂
While Asians use a microwave!!!
Don't be offended I am an Asian myself😂
My wife got all in me when I suggested she use this hack. She responded "I don't tell you how to cook so don't tell me how to bake"! 😲 Then I said "Natasha taught me that in her cooking hack video"! 😎 Her response was "why didn't you tell me that it was from Natasha, I wouldn't have yelled at you! 😱 She used it this morning for her lemon strawberry chiffon tart. I was still "banished from the kitchen"😹🤭
Haha you should tell her ahead next time 😊 please send my regards to your wife ❤️
@@Natashaskitchen she definitely trusts you way more than me! 😱👍🤠😩😁
Sounds like your wife has some anger issues.
When you realize it takes 15 minutes to boil water
only if you fill your pot to the brim 😉
@@Natashaskitchen true that! 😁
what kind of stove are you using?? a candle?
@@ikichullo yeah......what do you use?
@@abbynayak5085 viking stove
Here’s a pro tip for cookies, just put the cold butter in the mixer and set it on MED for a bit and the friction will soften it and you’ll never end up with melted butter on accident. It also makes the cookies taste amazing.
this is the way
Snap those fingers big guy so I can enjoy double the cookies.
Thanks Thanos!!! How’s the stone collecting going?
5 minutes? Honey I'm not even waiting 30 seconds 😂
Boiling water would take 6 mins .. i rather just stick the butter in the microwave for 10 secs
Great hack! Thanks, Natasha :)
I usually put a cup of water in the microwave and bring it to a boil. Once it’s boiling hot, I put my stick of butter in the microwave and the steam from the hot water softens the butter within minutes 🙌🏼
Thanks for sharing your method 👌
I use the defrost setting on the microwave for 10-15 seconds to soften butter, flipping once in between.
i tried to soften butter and there was mess all over the kitchen lol
Try this method!! So easy and works every time. Just set your timer! Microwave does make a huge mess though when it explodes. Avoid that method!
@@Natashaskitchen thx i will
The butter still looks hard at the center.
If you put in microwave on defrost it won’t make the mess
*That moment you realize you don’t eat dairy*
Vegan gang 😎
Ya know vegan butter exists right? 🤣
7 to 10 min isn't instantly...
lol losers you cant afford butter
@@ikichullo wtf- they are either vegan, dieting, or are allergic! that has nothing to do w/ financial issues boo
If I really need softened butter I just put the stick near the stove while I'm cooking, but usually I use an ancient device my grandmother also used. A butter dish.
Ha ! An ancient butter dish !! Love it ! Live in the Island of butter- ireland ☘️ - and it can be nice when spread - but butter while very natural ( we hope ) can be very high in calories so butter must be respected!
Sis really said put ✨boiling✨ water in a glass and then proceeds to immediately pick up the glass
yep ... your fingers will get soft as well
That is something I learned today👌🏻 Greetings from Scotland ♥️
thank you for watching 🥰
My cooking hack is get a husband who can cook. 🤣🤣🤣
Haha good one
Great video! I usuallly try to soften butter using the microwave when I'm in a rush. Thanks for the tip!
you first congrats
You’re welcome!
Microwave on defrost for less than a minute
Nice video fan from Pakistan 💖💖💖💖💖💗💗💗💕💕💟💟💟
OMG! That is so GENIUS! Also my favorite cooking hack is mix pancake batter in a plastic bag to save time and make less of a mess.
That is so smart!! Thanks for sharing!
Then what? Throw the bag in the trash? That's pretty wasteful just to save 30 seconds of washing.
Ooooo
Omg Josie !make a fucking tiktok about it
I'm surely going to try this. Cooking jacks for me involve my friend, fresh bread. Baked cookies got too hard? Put a slice of bread in with them and tightly cover. Tadaa! In awhile, they are soft. Fresh 🍞 also makes brown sugar soft again. No need to toss, if it gets hard. Don't you just love to learn new things?
Eyebrow 🔥🔥😂😂
Guysss stop saying that I just put it in the microwave- wut if someone doesnt hv a microwave
Your brows were the best part of this video for me ❤❤❤
I just microwave the butter for 15 seconds
The way I was taught to soften butter is to take a steak knife and cut it into a whole bunch of thin pieces. Also, using a cheese grater is a quick and easy way to soften butter as well!
I put my butter in the microwave upright for 8 seconds on one side, flip it over so it’s still upright, and microwave it for 7 seconds. I magically softens your butter. I learned this from someone that worked in a test kitchen!
I love this! Bravo! I have a short video showing how to get parchment paper to lay flat on my channel
Or you could just microwave it
Great video! I usuallly try to soften butter using the microwave when I'm in a rush. Thanks for the tip!
You’re welcome! That works too but I like this method much, it’s not that messy 👌
What should I call..hack or hint?
I knew this earlier...it was told by Indian Chef Pankaj Bhadauria ..... Following since then😀🇮🇳
Very interesting and intelligent
One hack that has worked for me is to put the stick of butter in a ziplock bag (sealed with air tight) and submerge the bag in a shallow bowl of warm (not hot!) water. The temperature of the water and the butter equalize and the butter becomes soft.
Thanks for sharing
When the stove is pre heating I sometime sit the butter on top for about 5 min 🤫
Just use the microwave for 10 seconds flip another 10 seconds or put it in for 10-15 seconds not that hard
mmmmmm butter .... Hold on i'll get the toast ! ......................................................
Her: Pour boiling hot water to a glass
Also her: *proceeds to hold that glass normally
Me:
Alien?-
In Germany it’s Common to have larger Buzzer so people often just put it in a box in the kitchen and it’s always soft…downside: American recipes are weird
I’ve used this “hack” but it never works for me and I don’t have a microwave, you can shred your butter with a cheese shredder and leave it for 5-7 minutes and I know it sounds weird but it works great!!!
Thanks for the tip 👌
Yep! On the same theme … freeze the butter then use a grater. Works brilliantly. Was ‘ grating butter’ during covid for my daughter for scones. The scones were amazing but belly was getting too ! So I told her freeze the scones also !!
Wow awesome will try
The idea is from natasha s kitchen, check her out, she is amazing
5 sec in microwave
Great hack
I just put it in the microwave
Very nice cooking tip Natasha! I but the gold egg in a warm water for 1 minute and after a can use in the cakes! Have a nice day! 👍👏☺
Wow 👌👌👌👌👌👌👌
Thanks for this hack..i used to keep outside the butter for like 3,4 hours🤣
You’re welcome! I’m glad you found this hack, it is a better method 😊
@@Natashaskitchen omgggggg u replied to mee ..thank u 😊i m big fan
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
I put butter and eggs in my cleavage while I get the rest of the ingredients together, works perfect every time 😃. I learned this from “Jenny Can Cook” by Jenny Jones. You gotta do what you gotta do!! Lol.....love your channel!
Haha what a unique way to do it! 😃
Well I don't have a microwave so....thanks
Very smart 👍👍
Great hack
I just set the microwave at its lowest power, for about 10 seconds and it seems to do the job. Thanks for the tip. Will try this one.
Dont everyone's microwave have a softening button
What we really wanted to know is how you lift that one brow 🤨
lol 😉
It’s a skill 😃
I actually tried it out and it worked thank you for this hack
LOVED IT
Nice 👍👍
i tried to soften butter and there was mess all over the kitchen lol
Yeah that usually happens when you microwave it
I tried it for the first time today and guess what? IT DIDN'T WORK!!!
Just kidding! It worked like a charm!
Lol wheew! Glad you liked it.
If i kept butter of 7 minutes at any dry place in my kitchen it will soften naturally ...... who's gonna do such a long process for that....
Or maybe put it in microwave for like 10sec
Wow you’re so smart Nastasha ❤️👍
Just put it in the microwave for however long before it melts..
That's genius! I suppose it will work for cream cheese, too?
Feel free to try it out too 😊
@@Natashaskitchen
Actually, I was wondering if you had already tested it out. But ill try it. Its worth a shot! 👍😊❤
Wow
8 seconds in the microwave.
That takes way more time than just letting it sit out for 10 minutes
Or just put it in the microwave for 10 seconds
Love your channel, but by the time you boil water and then wait another 7 minutes, you could have just left the butter on the counter.
One of the shortest video in RUclips 😊😊😊😊
You are a genius ma'am :-) I was just stuck with frozen butter the other day trying to think of ways to get it soft. Thank you, from New Iberia Louisiana. I look forward to seeing what else you can teach me :-)
And I see somebody put the microwave on here but let me tell you guys once you get it melted there ain't no getting it back cool without a good amount of time science is funny that way LOL. This is a much better idea I think because you are in control the microwave is iffy well maybe I have an iffy microwave because I'm on a budget you people might have a fancy one that actually softened butter! Is that what they are talking about?
Cut the butter in portions - more control
Your butter will soften to room temp in 7 mins anyway but thanks
I put eggs in hot water for a couple minutes when I need room temperature eggs
I put the entire stick of butter in my mouth for 60 seconds then take it out. Very soft and easy
15 seconds in the microwave vs 3 minutes of doing this shit
Who leaves butter in the fridge anyways? Own a simple butter dish and leave it on the counter like a normal person. People are so paranoid about everything these days they forget how to preform simple daily actions in fear of “anything.” Humans can simultaneously be the most intelligent animals yet completely ignorant to simple concept like complicating room temperature butter.
Your so inspirational, my entire life is a lie, thank you for opening my eyes to the truth
No no put the butter on plate and play the bts butter song that will do the job 💜
Whenever I microwave butter, it explodes inside causing a slimy mess.
Yeah that method is a bit messy so I use this one:
