This band , helped me through, break up of my wife, of 40 years, I'm 52, and discovered this wonderfull band, not long ago, their early albums, are magical, just as good as purple, zeppelin, etc, etc, shame only mick left, ken hensley was a genius, their music touched my heart, they where weird and different, and out of the box, their first 5 albums, have helped me , get through so much shit!!! In life, I just crank it up!!! I mean demons and wizards!!!

Now when I hear I get the same feeling and the lyrics and the music "Oh My God' what a great lesson a single song teaches. It is in one word almost "Immortal" In India most July mornings in the east are sultry but it is the song that makes the mood of the day.
Saw Uriah Heep in the Capitol, Cardiff..1972..joined the army later...and drove the tank ( a Cheiftain) pictured on the LP cover of 'Salisbury' which happens to be Salisbury plain, among other things a training area....( Stonehenge) I also think 'Wizard' is perfect..my favourite Uriah Heep song.

I learnt about Heep in 1970 at home on New Zealand, I lived in london for a few years and they gave me great joy. Their great ballads were very special, and Davids death was a tragedy . But Johns amazing voice was a revaluation, and Mr Box is a gem, very humble, as was Lee and the incomparable Bolder, I miss their genius.........may their legend continue JOHN

This song has deep significance for me as it was a favorite in my youth and I too am a photographer, I love the image pairings, it inspires me to do so...

In Bulgaria in the summer quite a lot of people get together at the worm, sunny seaside, sleep, camp whatever at the beach and on the 1st of July throw a great tribute to that song, listening and singing and playing... and carry on with rock all day...younger and older...It has been going probably since it came out...!!! We call it simply 'The July morning' . Love to all of you beautiful souls !
