I have made this recipe before, and it was way too sickly sweet for my liking. When I made it again, what I did was add dutch processed cocoa powder (unsweetened) instead of chocolate in the cream. The result was absolutely divine

Of course it works, there is nothing fancy in this video, just some skill and waiting work.. All ingredients are tasty and Yummi, it can only be EXCELLENT ^^
The result is not the same if you don't take milk chocolate tho ( there is some fat in milk chocolate, it gives
elasticity, so it would work with dark chocolate but it will be crunchier I guess )!
PLUS, you are not forced to use pipping bag, it is some advanced ustensil, you can sift it by your own ( like he did at 2:37 )

@@jeremiealphonsine367 You can still use dark chocolate and achieve the same or similar elasticity by substituting the fat in milk chocolate for some rehydrated gelatin plates, stirring that into the mixture for the top layer, though you’d need to heat it up in a pot to make sure the gelatin completely dissolves.

Only thing I know is that milk chocolate is at like 30% fat, white chocolate is at 70% and dark 5%. This is the reason dark chocolate is way more solid when it's cold that milk and white... So it used to be the same after being melted ^^

You don’t need vanilla extract for this. It’s optional
It wouldn't make a big difference without it.. But normally Vanilla pretty easy to find ^^ and it comes useful in lots of sweets so won't go to waste! But there is no harm in making it without the vanilla, you probably won't taste a difference

I made this for my family Christmas party and it was a hit! The only thing I'd do differently for next time is make the chocolate cookie crust (which I used oreos diced in a food processor) into more of a solid form. I think if the cookie bottom held its form more, and gave more of a crunchy texture, it'd add to it. I also used sweetened condensed milk instead of regular (that was what I had), and it still wasn't too sweet! I absolutely love this recipe, and am adding it to my collection.

@@carolcyr8553 would imagine you can keep it in the freezer & when you want to serve it take it out couple min before serving so it's not totally hard frozen. I do this for any cakes I make a head of time.

That's because all with life comes bumby roads everyone has to travel through. That chocolate wasn't always smooth, it was once hard chochobeans covered in slimy white stuff, but it was fermented and farmed to become that way. The same way we start out as little hard chocho beans and through out life we are being farmed and fermented. The only time we will be as smooth as that chocolate is when we die and or bodies return to earth to biodegrade.

Whilst this does look decadent, based on the way this video shows a spoonful being taken out, I'd class this as more of a ganache than a cheesecake. With a cheesecake you'd be able to take a solid slice out of it: this looks like you wouldn't be able to do that and it'd just collapse. Could be wrong though..
I think that’s why she calls it a cheesecake ‘dessert’ the addition of some gelatine would make it set and able to be sliced if you wanted to serve it that way. Also some butter to the cookie crumbs so you get a firmer base.
Ganache doesn’t have cream cheese in it, but I see why you would call it that, it sets much more like a ganache than a cheesecake.

No, it's because of the shape of the bowl in which the cheesecake is set in. The bottom is way too narrow compared to the top as it's tapering and hence the base of the cheesecake is too small

This looks delicious. I so want to make it, although I could do with a lot less chocolate. However, if you had whipped the cream cheese before you added it to the whipped cream, then it wouldn't have had lumps in it in the end. So my suggestion is to do that next time. Great video 👍

What cooking? Not even to melt the chocolate, this recipe is nothing strenuous except to boil the water, lol. Easy, peasy
@@beckygriggs7827 it isn't necessary to boil water! You can put it in the microwave and each 25 seconds get it out, remove and put in the microwave other 25 seconds until completely melted :)
