funny!
We did 3 months on $2500 and lived very well. Cambodia was the highlight of cheapness, we find a hostel for $2 USD per night, private room, plus meals from around 50c.
I agree, I loved Cambodia!
traveltheworldhack do you book in advance online or just show up and hope for a room?
From where did you book
@@DoggoStudio Alot of the vloggers I've watched book 1 or 2 nights and then look for a longer term room once they arrive.
Was that 2500 for the both of you?
This is awesome! I find that traveling on a budget always leads to more authentic, unexpected adventures off the beaten path that are very special. Thanks for the tips!
Thank you so much for this video!
I will do this summer !😊😊

@@Andreyabish did you make it?
@@kr5468 noooo, but i did it in south america for the last 2 years, im currently in bogota atm actually.
Beer for $.50 and street food for $1? Sold. Great video, as usual. Thanks!
Normal
7 years ago i visited cambodia and street foods were about 50cents. but if u visit on downtown it doesnt cost less than america lol.... (especially the place where for trevales)
Tammy Petry that’s the exception. Please don’t expect to live off 500 monthly, realistically😂
Thanks for this video. Very useful!
I’m traveling Thailand this August and alone, this was needed! Thanks a lot🙏

Such a good source of info. Street food is the bomb. It’s mostly what I eat. And I will be checking out Agoda. Peace and love and happy travels. ☮️🇨🇦

Took me awhile to get past your beauty,
great info man thank you! I'm about to plan a journey
your voice & the background music was so calming, loved listening to this. really appreciated how many examples of prices you shared, so many youtubers are very vague about paying for travel. will be happily subbing💓
Thanks so much! Thanks for the comment, and for following my adventures
Amazing video! Loved the way you talk. Thanks!!!
Haha thank you
Good info! I've done a lot of traveling in Asia and some parts of it actually has Uber now. Which is great and very cheap compared to taxi's. Especially taking one from the airport to your hotel or wherever you are staying. Plus, they can't change the price on you. Just a tip for people you will be traveling to Asia or anywhere for that matter. Check if they have it available first.
i just did a video like this a week or so ago. love yours! do you think you could travel cheaper? we seem to notice are monthly spendings around 400$ but we are also traveling as a couple
+Divert Living cheaper is definitely an option. I try to find a happy medium but closer to the budgetty side
Sick video! Thanks for the tips, it will be very useful when I travel over there :)
you could take plane's in the Philippine's if you want to, but there are a ton of ferry ride's the locals take to hop between islands. It's usually cheaper and more fun. One more thing, a smile in SouthEast Asia is probably one of the best things you could give to a local.
Great great video bro priceless advice thanks so much!!!
No problem! Glad if I can help at all
Thanks for this 👌✨

really good overview.made everything very clear. Thumbs up and subbed !
Love the video!! Southeast Asia is super affordable! We taught English in Thailand and made around 700 a month and lived comfortably. In Vietnam we worked online and made about 2000 a month and lived like Kings!
Thanks for the comment. I’d love to give that a try (teaching English in Asia). Always wanted to. Glad to hear it was able to work for you
How do I sign up tp teach English overseas? Where did ypu go to lear n?
How did you do that?
Hey, how did you find a place to teach english in Thailand? Was it difficult to get a work visum?
This was really helpful even though I don’t think I will travel in the next few months this will really help a in 2-3 years when I start traveling more often and for a student traveler this video has a lot of good insights for future travelers
Many thanks for saying about Agoda(cant belive how cheap it is :0..) and other tips!!! Going Asia in May ...cant wait !!
You’re welcome!
Thanks for this video man, I'm planning my trip for mid May, this ideas are really useful, trying to wrap my head around all the choices and decisions I have to make in January haha! Subscribed. Cheers.
Thanks for the kind words and for watching. Good luck with your trip! It'll be amazing
Such a huge help dude! Recommending Agoda alone just made things so much easier! 🙏🏼
Glad to help
Nice summary! thx for sharing your experience! come to Costa Rica!
Great job brotha! We are big savers and you have answeard a lot of our questions. Keep up the good travels 😁
Some great tips Alex. Adding an example month from past experiences and prices would have been very good in this video as well.
Amazing video, thank you :))
You are the best ! thanks for all the advice ! From france ;)
This is an insanely valuable video ty body ;)
I pay -3 dollar per night on hostels in Cambodia, 3 dollars in Thailand and Laos, and less than 6 dollars in Vietnam. I spend less than 10 dollars in Bali. Your accommodations in Bali looks so awesome. Amazing, how Bali can be that cheap and yet so fantastic. Most touristic islands in the Philippine don't have cheap hostels.
Bitch English how long ago did you stay in these places?
Really great advice. I’m going this way by myself for the first time in a few months.
Have a great time!
great content ty ty ty
Really good tips! And a well-made video! :D
Katrin Williamson thanks! Hope I helped
I’m leaving in Southeast Asia next month and some of your tips helped me then thank you 😊

Thanks for watching!
My absolute pleasure! I just started travel vlogging myself. Would love a little feedback if you have the time. Keep up the adventuring and inspiring us all!
Thank for the advice. I'm planning to travel across southeast asia in the future after coming back from cambodia.
Wow this was so helpful! You just got a new sub :)
Awesome’ thanks for subbing and watching!
Pretty cool to get some insight on how the budget could look like. I was originally planning to backpack New Zealand this February, but it felt more tempting to visit Indonesia as I started to look more into it. NZ is also more similar to my country (Norway), and I'd rather see something completely different when I go backpacking. Your video made it clear that South-Asia is where I want to explore. If 500 - 1000 USD a month is the standard monthly budget, I can almost travel a year with the same budget I had planned for two months in New Zealand!
Thank you mate, you earned a sub. :)
swdoffa thanks for the sub and for watching. Yes, Southeast Asia will be a TON cheaper than NZ. If you're on a budget and have the time to travel longer. I'd say try SÈ Asia first. You can do much much more with your dollar
Hit me up if you end up travelling around Java island!
@@AlexanderTravelbum from what I've red on the internet some places are $3 / night. And they also have hotels for $200. My thought was who the hell stays thier.. foren government personnel?? $200 in that part of the world.. ya avoid. And can you find a random place for less then $10 by just showing up?
@swdoffa hey man, I am in exactly the same boat as you were in. I was set on travelling in NZ as a working holiday for a few months from Jan next year before I go to europe but i feel like it is very similiar to my own home country which is australia. Im now thinking more and more going to SE asia. I am just wondering did you enjoy your travels their? I am 18 and just finished high school so that is a factor.
You´re right mate, Agoda´s a life saver if you´re travelling in Asia!
THX for this Tipps :) see you around the world
Brother you have given me an idea about my future trip to Thailand...
Thank you bro...😘😘😘
You’re welcome good luck!
I can't wait to go backpacking!!! I sort of did this this year when I went to Hawaii. I left with 1500 bucks, nowhere to stay when I arrived, and no job. But someone messaged me about a hostel right down the street from where I was! So that's where I stayed the 2 months I was there.
great tips..!!
Awesome vid man! Some great tips here! Keep the content coming! :)
Thanks mate!

These are really great tips dude. Subscribed and hope to see more videos from you soon!
Thanks mate! Glad to help. Hitting the road real soon
These have been the best tips I have ever received! Subscribed and will be checking out move videos. Also, Agoda is the bomb. I can vouch for it. And be sure to book closer to when you arrive. I had to cancel a trip and my funds were non-refundable. However, not butt hurt over it because I made my employer pay for it since they cancelled my trip. Have never gotten sick from the street food and it is tasty and cheap.
moi thanks for watching! Yes, all true. Missing the street food now
I got by on a budget of £500 every month and ate, drank and partied like a king. The tips here are very useful.
