I read a lot of people commenting on how BAD they thought Porter's performance was at Okeechobee. Are you kidding me?! That's truly sad to me that people thought that. Just because it wasn't a rager and had wubs and thubs doesn't make it a bad performance. Porter is one of the most talented artists out there. If he wanted to do wubs and thubs he easily could have thrown a banger. The Nurture performance is a spiritual hour and a half that I could watch over and over again. I did come across some people saying it was their first time seeing him and they loved it. To anybody watching this performance again, welcome back and thank you for appreciating what a real electronic performance and journey is.

I wouldn’t say it’s BAD, I would say it’s not what people expected. Worlds to Nurture was a completely different sound and style. From my own experience I agree with what someone people are saying. Porter was the one who got me into the edm scene back in 2016 with the shelter tour, I had no idea what I was getting my self into when I saw that set live and I came out a different person. I’ve been chasing a worlds set for the past 5 years and I doubt I’ll be able to get to experience it. When I saw a Nurture set during his tour I knew what I was getting my self into, I had already seen the full second sky set online. I went into that show expecting what I got. Now if I wouldn’t have seen any spoilers before hand I would of been so pissed off leaving that nurture show.
Side note- divinity is my all time favorite song and worlds is my favorite album.

@@Omartiny022 he fucking killed it on the nurture tour stop in DC. there is no way he hasn't been taking actual singing lessons because his singing was extremely good for someone who isn't technically a singer. Vocal chords are weird though and can crap out on you randomly depending on weather/overuse.
After this set I was convinced Porter is a hidden genius. His music perfectly captures the miracle of life, the beauty of nature, and the warmth of family and friends. Combined with Porter's genuine love for sharing his art, this set had me experiencing waves of catharsis. This will forever be one of my most cherished memories. Thank you for uploading so I can remember all over again.

This moment was truly mesmerizing to see live. The way he stands in the middle of all those pillars of light makes it looks as if he’s letting all the good vibes wash over him. He knows he’s in a good place mentally now and, “it’s a feeling he wants you to know” 💛

This was one of the most magical things i got to experience live almost up front. The cascade during shelter wasn’t even caught right in this video as amazing as this video is. The show he put on that night was so spectacular. I couldn’t have asked for a better headliner to that show

@@minecraftmilker6929 there is food vendors you can buy food from, and you can bring your own food to make at your campsite. I had cell service so I was able to make phone calls no problem. Typically you go with a group of people to make everything easier. It’s a ton of fun just takes commitment since you are camping for four days. I had a portable charger but by the last day it was already dead

I really love it! But I have one question: How can you tell that it's a real live perfomance and no Playback?`i mean the music keeps changing when he changes instruments and stuff. Is that somekind of automation in the background? please would somebody tell me?
he uses a midi keyboard! this makes it so it can just change the noises v easily!!
He also uses a voice changer to, it's his other "persona" forgot what he calls it.
That's all clear. But I don't see how it works in detail. I mean when he sings over two songs and a change. Only havibg a microphone in his hands. 😁 maybe he has an in ear click or something. Or its done by the mixing guys. I really cool and I'm just asking it myself

its because like nurture is the total opposite of worlds, worlds was trying to escape to another world and nurture is more focused on like admiring the beauty of earth, etc. and i feel like the live edits or the songs themselves are more chill because of that reason! sorry to hear you didnt enjoy it though :(

You shouldn’t be seeing bassnectar anyway but your feelings about this are valid. It’s much different than his older stuff.
I keep hearing this comparison and it's the most surface level smooth brain take, you must he new. Regardless if you enjoy Nurture, Porter Robinson is musical genius period and one of, if not, the most talented DJ's in the world. I say this as an OG raver that's partied since the trance/breaks/dnb/jungle days. I implore you to listen to Virtual Self or right here with what he does with Divinity and Flickr in this set. Porter shouldn't be taken for granted and you should be grateful to see his Nurture set live- don't he sad, be happy and see you there!
