I take the Roclite Pro G400 on a 1st hike in the Wasatch Mountains of Utah. An ultra light (14 oz / 400g) boot with the chassis of a rugged trail runner and the support, stability and grip of a stout hiking boot, it is designed for moving fast in the mountains. Loaded with a ceramic coated upper, Gore-Tex bootie, plenty of cushion and stability and Inov-8's Graphene Grip outsole this $235 boot bridges the world of trail running, fast hiking/ fast packing, and trekking. Full multi tester review soon.
Samples provided at no charge for testing.

I have the earlier Rocklite GTX for years and I have alot of experience in all different terrain as a former SO operator in USMC and I have never worn a better boot. I have been recommending them for years and have the same boots for years and they held up remarkably.

How long does the grapheme sole last?
I love Salomons, but the sole wears very quick for me.

Can anyone comment on the longevity of this boot, especially the midsole? Plain EVA tends to wear out pretty quickly. I know that the Trailfly Ultra 300 running shoes have graphene infused EVA which is supposed to last longer. I’ve tried the Trailfly G270 running shoes with the EVA midsoles and that shoe doesn’t seem to have any cushioning at all to me except for the superb boomerang footbed.

Good morning. I'm thinking of buying this shoe. Any change in your thoughts after one month? Fit is true to size? Normally I'm a US size 10.

It is true to size and generous. See our full review here: www.roadtrailrun.com/2020/11/inov-8-roclite-pro-g-400-gore-tex.html

With thicker winter socks would you suggest a half size or full size up?

I would say no more than a half size up. More and I think the hold would suffer but depends on what you are using them for. For snowshoe, non rocky snow hiking, might work a full up but I wouldn't.
