    Having made self bows I can tell when one is properly made. Your bow is as good as one can be made. Well done!

      You need to rethink that comment, if you think that was as good as it gets, you've got low standards. Not trolling, just stating fact.

      @@davidhart8724 I was referring to type of bow and general appearance of the tiller not looks. I am one that doesn't like all the designs some bows have and add nothing to the bows ability to shoot well.A plain bow that shoots well is as good as it gets just as I stated. If I had a negative opinion I would have kept it to myself unless the person asked for my opinion.

    Excellent bow as always, but i think its time you really put your skills to the test. Time to make the mother of all longbows, An english warbow. Make it 100 pounds+ at 30-31 inches of draw

    Witam rodaka, mam jedno pytanie: Ostatnio obierałem z kory 2 kawałki leszczyny (z tego samego drzewa). Normalnie wewnętrzna kora jest zielona, lecz u mnie w niektórych miejscach była czarna (z zewnątrz wszystko było ok). Drewno pod nią było lekko różowo-brązowe. Czy spotkałeś się z taką sytuacją i czy wiesz o co w tym chodzi? Kawałki odłożyłem, bo podejrzewam że do niczego się już nie nadają =

      Witam. Prawdopodobnie jakiś grzyb / zgnilizna się wdarły. Spotkałem się raz z podobnym problemem u leszczyny, szczapa się nie nadawała - łuk się złamał od razu na początku profilowania

    how do you harvest the wood and how do you dry it before you start

    • @DreamcraftBows
      @DreamcraftBows  Год назад

      I don't harvest it by myself - but the process is the same - after harvesting I split logs into staves, debark them and seal backs and ends of these. For a first few weeks I store staves in cold place, where they can dry slower, then move them to other where they can dry faster. I dry them approx until they start losing weight (4-12 months depending on conditions)
