  • Nasal congestion on one or both sides of the nose, chronic breathing difficulties, noisy breathing during sleep, facial pain and headaches, postnasal drip, and nosebleeds are symptoms of a deviated septum.
Dr. Andrew Rivera, Otolaryngologist with Baptist Health South Florida, says patients can experience better airflow on one side than the other, which is a common complaint. He points out that if your septum is deviated and your nasal passage is narrow, that can contribute to you snoring.

This is very common problem. I think most people have the condition but don't know it. The question is ,what causes it? Is it the mere fact of childbirth, the head exiting a small, tight space?

Sorry for the late reply , I’m not a doctor so I can’t tell you what’s causing your allergies but for sure the deviation is not helping the situation,

Good day everyone. If anyone has a nasal septum deviation, has done surgery to fix it or if you have knowledge on the matter please help.
I have a right nasal septum deviation, some of the problems I am having are: Facial pains at different levels throughout the day, I can never fully breath freely from both my nostrils and I suffer sleep apneia. I can fall asleep one night but when I wake up sometimes I feel as if I did not get any sleep. The major problem out of all of them though which really irritates me are the facial pains / migraines, I have that problem 24/7. My questions to you : Are these symptoms most likely from the nasal septum deviation which I have and if so, do you recommend surgery? I am seriously considering it I just want to live my life without these problems. Please respond.
