  • In this video I'm going through 10 things I learned the hard way when it comes to watercolor painting.
We've heard tons of advice before, what to do, what not to do and yet the experimentation is such an important part we tend to ignore certain signals.
While it is great to experiment with watercolor painting or any other medium, sometimes this can slow us down.
To learn more whether you're just getting started or you are also experimenting and noticing some of the things you should or should not be doing, watch this video and please let me know below what you most struggle with with learning how to watercolor painting.

I love watching the time-advance videos. Super helpful to see how things go from zero to 100% in just a few minutes. Thanks for all your videos!

Great advice, I do think practice makes it perfect. We all see colors a little differently so practicing blending, experimenting will eventually improve our painting skills. Also, yes, paper quality matters a lot! I love this mermaid painting! 👍😊

Gorgeous painting and great advice! I need to start using better paper after almost two years of learning watercolor since I am really getting discouraged. Big step for me, though. Also I started with Daler Rowney watercolors and even though some of the colors are amazing, most of them are so chalky :(

Paper should really change the game for you, arches cold pressed is excellent! It's a good thing you know you can improve this and the paints as it would really impact your paintings 👍
