Dan's "Rata-tat-tat-tat-tat" is probably my favorite thing about this playthrough.
I've gotten to the point where I sing it with him, lol.
Its my new message tone
The natural evolution of "Huff Puff".
I always think of tap dancing when he says that
Someone needs to make a compilation
Edgeworth casually walks out of a hotel with a giant, seven-foot tall bear tucked under his arm
That’s gumshoe
@@Lucifersfursona No, that's Edgeworth. Gumshoe just took the camera bits.
Me imagining Edgey-poo walking out with Gumshoe under his arm
@@dothedo3667 I think they mean the bear is gumshoe
@@ToxicDerg Ms Oldbag, get a hold of yourself, please!
Even so many years after I first played it, the mental image of Edgeworth just casually taking that entire huge bear and walking out of the hotel with it makes me laugh 😂
They made an anime of it, right? it would be hilarious to see that actually play out
@@ascellaplays oh yeah! I even remember watching some episodes, but I can't recall how they did this scene tbh :'D
"So De Killer Delivered De Bear to De Client..."
@krunchler I'm pretty sure Edgeworth just took the camera from the bear. The anime was pretty good, but left my mind pretty quick.
stuffing it into his car, I want to see that so bad
animators PLEAS
Franzika was allowed her whip in the hospital, and she's not in any kind of hospital clothing, and she her everyday clothes look pristine, no wound, or bullet hole, or anything. Truly the embodiment of perfection.
would _you_ want to be the doctor who tried to take it off her?
@@bugbear2357DAMN FAIR POINT
Has anyone ever thought that there should be like a little guillotine blade at the end of her whip?
Knowing franzika she probably has spare clothes in case of emergencies
@@bugbear2357 Maybe? Who are you, my dad? Can I kiss you?
Pearl leaves her village for the first time. The two things she learns about the outside world is the circus and numerous convoluted murder investigations.
I'm sure she's gonna grow up to be AAAAAaaaaalllll right.
Not only that but her mother is literally in jail for murder and was sentenced when Pearl was only 8.
@@itsasquidAt least she’s only in jail as an accomplice. Murderers seem to get the death penalty 100% of the time in Japanifornia.
I haven’t played Dual Destinies, but I’m pretty sure she’s in that one as a teenager.
And her not introduced yet sister is also batshit insane
@@itsasquid and let's not talk about her auntie's fate, who she meets in the third game
I hope they do trials and tribulations after they finish justice for all. Ace attorney weekends make the week a little more bearable
I hope they go back & finish the first game either after this case or the next game, too. It's such a good one & I wanna see their reactions (or Dan's if Arin spoils it for himself again)
@@Dead_Kal_Cress I'm gonna have to disagree. The first game's special case is one of the longest cases in the series and isn't THAT interesting imo.
Also to me it's pretty clear that the Ace Attorney games take a lot of energy out of the boys, hence why they played two Danganronpa games before they played this game despite Ace Attorney generally fetching more views.
They should just play the third game and leave it at that for a while. I think both of them would get a big kick out of it, while Rise From The Ashes would just tire them out.
@@amadeus.7436 i'll agree it kinda drags on but i think if they do it after this series & then leave it alone for a while & come back to the third game that'd be better. But they'll do whatever they think is best. Rise def starts slow but I think once it picks up it really gets good, kinda like the case we're on rn.
But yeah, they'll do whatever they think is best. I just like that case & they totally skipped it originally which is a bummer
@@Dead_Kal_Cress I agree, I would've preferred if they just did the case along with the rest of the first game. But now I don't care about it so much personally.
@@Dead_Kal_Cress I think if anything they should only go back and do Rise From the Ashes if they plan on playing Apollo Justice, since it kinda leads into those characters.
The thought of Edgeworth just being like "It's only 9pm, I still have time" and then just struggling to carry this huge ass life size stuffed bear out of the room is hilarious to me
arin’s gone through the whole pipeline of:
- hating when people say “LETS GOO”
- saying it “ironically”
- now it’s genuinely just part of his vocabulary lmao
my favorite is when he just casually says "LFG"
I find it even better now thanks to the deadpool 3 trailer has loads of people saying it
As soon as he mentioned it I immediately registered LFG as incredibly funny cause we'd be going on this adventure together
Just as the Unicorn Wizard, Daniel AviDaniel predicted in the years of yonder days gone by past ago.......
@@MaggieSkellie
I like when he goes "Let's fucking LFG!"
16:37 I do find Gumshoe endearing and hilarious in many aspects, but it always cracks me up how his capability spikes when he’s either breaking the law or helping Phoenix Wright in a way that’s outside of his job description. Even funnier if he’s temporarily out of a job.
I like how Gumshoe's a good detective when he's not being paid to do it
on the "where are we", the original game is set in japan, with the foreign characters like the von karmas and klavier gavin being american. in the english version of the game, it's set in america, with the foreign characters being german. this was easy to do with the first game, where there was minimal japanese culture in the game. in later games, however, they just have to stick with it being america (california specifically). i believe the in-universe explanation is that this is a universe where japanese immigrants were more accepted into america, leading to japanese culture being prevalent in american society. the fans call it "japanifornia".
The alternate history backstory is technically not canon. It was originally just a headcanon one of the localizers shared in an interview, but it was so good that the fandom ran with it
I'm pretty sure Apollo Justice made it canon with the Yokai trial.
Wait, the Von Karmas are American in the Japanese version of the game? Not to be that guy, but they don't look or act like the average American, so that's pretty surprising. Them being German actually feels much more believable.
🎶Japanifornia....knows how to party.....
@@boltstrike2787 I don't think there's a particular nationality with a plurality of users of whips and puffy shirts, but...
Idk what's More absurd. Gumshoe making a bug sweeper in elementary school... Or Miles Edgeworth casually walking down flights of stairs of this hotel after 9:00 p.m. with a 7-ft bear to go investigate where it came from.
I adore the mental image of Edgeworth being like "I'll be taking this" and then just...heaving that MASSIVE bear out of the room, getting progressively more out of breath.
"Snatched up by Edgeworth" the WORDING, too.
What a fine way to spend a Sunday: Edging to Edgey-poo
what happened to “hello,” “how are you”
*HUHH*
Don’t let them silence you. Speak your truth!
Franziska whipping you & telling you you're a bad lawyer JOI
Don't threaten me with a good poem
Reminder that this game first came out in 2002, which explains all the very dated talks about electronics, among other things.
Scarily, as a person who works customer service in a call center for troubleshooting streaming services, I promise you, there are many people who STILL talk like this of all ages…
the weird part was that they were talking about the screen going fuzzy, and not the more common sms-through-speakers sound.
Old tech is everywhere, a lot of people can't afford new things. I had a 1991 desktop in 2007 as our family cpu
@@Rei96there's just slightly less of them
38:04 Can you imagine watching a movie with Arin: "I know it was you, Fredo--" "WHY HAVEN'T WE SEEN ANY OF THESE CHARACTERS TAKING A SHIT YET"
I love the image of Edgeworth hoisting the bear over his head and running through the hall with it.
"That's what it is, Pearl, evil ghosts!"
Dan, she's an 8 year old spirit medium who lives in a village full of spirit mediums and ghosts of varying morality play huge fucking parts in the games. Pearl says a lot of ridiculous things but _this is not one of them_
I think the joke was the groaning sounded a lot like sex groaning lol
@@kasia3582%100
14:33 every simultaneously screaming at the screen that the robo bear is not new 😂
My favorite Phoenix whright case is the one where he says to Edgeworth "ur always worth the edge..."😢
🎶rata-tat-tat-tat-tat🎶
I can't hear it any other way now.
You're telling me Juan chooses the bear, too?
He knew men were more dangerous so he chose the fight the bear.
Poor Pearls she should be at home watching PBS kids or some shit 😭
I love how Arin is using a walkthrough and still got stuck scanning every damn thing in Corrida's room and needed Dan to help him realize that he could move to the other half of said room. That's Our Arin™
And don't worry, that's "Hotti"'s last appearance... for this trilogy, anyway. Ugh.
I was mid-chicken nugget when Dan went "ye" and choked a little bit.
Dan continues to be an absolute psychic, the series
That or he has common sense.
Makes sense. He is the Ultimate Clairvoyant after all.
Edgeworth walking out of the hotel carrying a life-size bear over his shoulder
I was not prepared for Edgeworth's little smirk, neither was Phoenix.
His name is Edgeworth because Phoenix thinks he’s worth edging to
I like how everyone can agree that the creation of hotti is the worst decision this franchise has ever made
There are some F-tier characters, some hell tier characters, and there is one creeper with missing teeth and hot pink hair who is in a special tier a few tiers below hell in a rank demon shit infested sewer.
He does inspire a whole other flavour of dread than any of the other hated characters
@@rebellemuriawhere would the abomination that is the reporter with a toothbrush with brown bristles go?
I have an important question.
Is he better or worse than Quercus Alba?
@@appsmasher7932 well since I felt my skin crawl remembering that character existed I'd say quercus alba is worse to me
Every "next time on Game Grumps" has me go "nooooooo" even though I'm watching the video's time! Next weekend will be fun. Thanks for entertaining me while I'm sick :)
Get well soon!
@@sleepyote Thank you! 😊
This series sure loves its talking clocks
Arin smoothing things over with Maya's kidnapper by asking said kidnapper for one more day along with an ice cream created some much-needed story-advancing static with that robot bear.
My ticket paid for the whole seat, but you know...
But you’ll only need the Edgey-poo
"It's time for step-uncle and other step uncle to make this happen."
Should have said "bump unclies."
RUclips must think I'm a drunkard. I keep getting those ads telling me to order wine with doordash. I'll save my $50 for more important things like Game Grumps Merch
The bear growling sounds like El Tigre.
Edgeworth exits stage right, clutching a bear.
When do we get to kiss Edgeworth?
the truest question
when he's done kissing phoenix's dad
Honestly I was wondering this too
In the true ending of this case, Arin f-ed it up when he decided to go for the not guilty verdict than get Adrian to testify.
I don't think they really need someone to keep them on track, their wild tangents are some of the best. However, I really think they need someone to just chime in on stuff that they are just WILDLY wrong about, like the whole "robot bear" thing.
Dan: Was he running for president?
Arin: No, it was just a popularity contest.
Me: Kinda the same thing really, except the president gets to ruin the county.
A robot bear? Involved in a murder? Something sounds familier here......
Dagonrampa
I love that ace attorney has 3 age groups: child, (1-18) adults (18-60) and elders (60+) but there’s no difference between those ages- other than her appearance, Pearl could be 6 or 13 and I know her dialogue would be exactly the same 😂
the mental image of edgeworth trying to jam that stuffed bear into the trunk of his sports car is so hilarious
The "rata-tat-tat-tat-tat" always gets me
"No Feces February" must be IMPOSSIBLE for Arin. I'm sure "Defecation December" is a dream for him, though.
Ace attorney days are the BEST days!
GameGrumps Lunch Break Chronicles, Day 126:
I’m just snacking on hot Cheetos for today. 10/10.
15:03 "...and I haven't for a while!" - Pearl for most of this case
3:35 I like how the camera's cost keeps escalating 🙂LOL
This game needs a Clue adaptation.
it was the butler.. in.. corrida's room.. with the rope!
All the options we have:
- No Movement March/May
- No Shît September
- No Deuce December
And many more, the sky is the limit.
33:10 sometimes I hear the grumps say shit like this and think: “I can’t wait for someone to animate this”
Oh, great (6:28)! Just what this franchise needs… the Monokubs!
*SO LONG! BEAR WELL!*
💚😉😉💚
In 2006 I knew I was getting a text message because my speakers would beep in a certain way, so having a phone mess with a computer screen wouldn't be too far a jump... rat a tat tat
It's funny that they were convinced that the robobear was jamming the signal because they forgot that it was in that hotel room the whole chapter.
To defend Arin with him reading ahead and knowing how it goea and such, we get mad that he DOESNT look stuff up all the time lol. So imma call this character development, so long that he doesnt spoil the story for Dan. Good job Arin, proud of you dude!😊
Cannot unhear Dan's Pearl's voice as the horses from Candy Mountain.
i have never played this game (and likely never will now that i taken to watch them play them), but seeing them ignore the fact that there is a freking celeste's frame picture adress to "my love" in the house of engarde like it wasnt clearly a vital piece of information...it makes feel things...bad things
24 HOURS BETWEEN EPISODES IS TOO MUCH
It’s better than the 144 hours we have to wait for the next episode now
And 6 days until the next episode of Penix Wright. D:
@@antoniacosta6221 144?! Gross!
boy, they were snacking hard during this recording session 😂
When Arin mentioned wolverine when oldbag said “bub” I got flashbacks
My ability to recognize songs by only two notes got me Rick Rolled. lol
I'm sad this remade version didn't actually remove the bear when Edgeworth walks out with it. Would have made it even better.
This is (ironically) the only thing keeping me sane as I finish my project
Ngl I hope they get bad ending just to see their reaction.
This game has multiple endings?
no way, since Arina is using a walk through for the entire game
Only two @@mage1439
All they have is do to screw it up is select the wrong choices.
I really hope for the very last part they dont use a walkthrough and see them fail and get the bad ending. that would be hilarious
21:15 And here folks, you can hear the sounds of Phoenix passionately gulping down on Edgeworth as he tries to talk to Pearls. Fascinating.
I hate myself for imagining it oh so clearly
I like how even though Gumshoes is fired he's still being a detective
I'm going to be bummed out when this series ends.
Dan Predicted "Scan Doll"!
3:25 honestly very relatable
Why does Dan give Pearls the same voice as he gives his dog Camilla?
It is so hard to wait for the weekend for these episodes. But it makes it so much better knowing it is the weekend
OMG NEXT EPISODE IS GONNA BE AWESOME 😭
This has nothing to do with Penix Wright, but I just wanted to say; I started playing a game on my phone that I had to name the character, and the only thing I could think of was RooplePooples
@5:20 ish, I feel like I need to get a clip of the conversation where they point out specific bears because one of the goals for some of my clients is to increase use of creative language so they can make themselves better understood. This is a great example of this in the context I tend to end up teaching it in.
4:36 Dan: “Mhmmhmpmhpmh”
Arin: “mphph….“ *BURP*
I love how RUclips offers to translate that to English.
I just love these playthroughs, definitely better than if I tried to play them myself. Love how every time Dan does Franziska it reminds me of Starbomb's Castlevania song and I almost spit my coffee when I heard Arin asking when the characters get to take a dump xD
Phoenix would have finished his investigation in plenty of time for supper if he didn’t have to stop every minute to explain something to Pearl.
How many skittles did you guys get through this time‽
33:12 Miles "Edgeworth" Prower
Every time Pearl puts her hand up to her mouth and gasps in shock, I can't help but laugh because it looks like she's doing that 'lick the V' symbol.😆
10:57 Arin inadvertently made a connection to Investigations 2.
PHILADELPHIA MENTIONED!! Tastycakes rule.
"Hey pal, you think this camera is waterproof?"
phoenix is always pretty slow but i feel like in this case it is particularly noticeable if he put any effort into figuring out what's really going on or even just put his personal feelings aside to believe edgeworth this case would be solved by now
Zipper Face Butler still looks sus.
ace attorney weekends are the best!
The yellow bear the one that's next to the bed looks like winnie the pooh.
Juan gets bears because he is known for making bears.
I'm disappointed that Grumps didn't comment on "We have to move forward... One step at the time..." XD
…………….OOOOHHH BECAUSE EDGEWO-
ready for a great dinner tonight! thank you, grumps!
36:05 Dan always managing to take a bite right when a dialogue he has to read shows up 😂
@30:04 Dammit Dan! I was taking a drink from my margarita!
18:44 Ohohoho... Oh... You can really tell when Dan is starting to run outta stuff to joke about... Ohohoh....oh....
Every time Arin belches I crack up because I imagine Phoenix doing that mid-dialogue.
Should have a Phoenix Wright game where all the butts of each character is showing.
We give Gumshoe a lot of crap, but he really comes through in this case. And it's pretty impressive he made a functional bug sweeper when he was a kid.
Can't wait for next weekend!! Surely they'll be able to hold the finale in the next two episodes
