Meet Rick, a 55 year old millionaire from Connecticut USA who has been in Thailand for 8 months and is convinced he's gonna go broke in 4 years,,,
I don't think he'll make it that long to be honest!

We all do some form of apprenticeship in life and our /culture/values/parental guidance….make us who we are.
A conscience is created and we draw our values from those influences.
Now apply that thinking to a bar girl…..This is a completely different species.
A totally different moral compass…….
Your in a unison that is totally unsustainable.
The problem with these people is their childlike and it empowers you to grant her wishes and you would naturally think that builds rapport…..it doesn’t.
You’ve committed time/money & effort to her….there is an initial euphoria, then a lack of solid lasting respect and appreciation.
But you have committed.
They now in there boredom create a new challenge for themselves….you being the vehicle to the success of that.
It’s ugly beyond words.

They do have Parental guidance, parents guide them to the bus station and guide a one way ticket to Pattaya in their hands. They'll even come up with ideas to guide their daughters to the latest scam ideas and what pickup truck the family demand her to buy the family. I'm not saying we should treat them the same way they treat us(like dumb animals) but how you deal with people there needs to be the opposite of how you do in every other country on earth. It takes something shocking to make these guys realise the truth. In my case it was the girls laughing about a Farang committing suicide over her. There was a group of them, and one even said 'Mai pen rai only Farang' that has haunted me and was the tip of the iceberg of what I found out about the reality there. They don't just scam like scammers in other places, they get a sick, twisted pleasure out of it, too.
Here is my 2 baht:
1. Treat the Thai bar scene like a petting zoo. Go there, have your fun petting the cute and fuzzy animals. Don’t take the animals home. There is a reason why the animals live in a barn and not a house.
2. If you decide to break rule #1, say that you have a pension with a fixed income and no savings. Most importantly, give yourself a salary to spend per month and hold it to a strict discipline as you actually have a pension. That way if you do get milked dry, the damage will correlate to time spent together.
This is a good tip. The worse thing you can ever do is let them know what you've got in the bank or coming in. They'll want every penny. That's her job. Moving money from your pocket to hers and the game only ends when your pocket is empty!

I have a good job and work offshore . I get lots of time off and spend around 5 months a year in Thailand . When I first came to Thailand is was like OMG this is heaven. Luckily for me my friend who had a lot more experience in Thailand than me kept me right. This is all a game . I love Thailand as a country and to me the girls are just a perk so that’s how I keep it. Wake up and smell the coffee guys. Just enjoy Thailand. Hopefully catch you in Patong around Febuary Mark.

Depends though when people say Real Estate. You can just have generational worth passed down and rent out property gained from that cash over time. No social climbing but will always be viewed as a success regardless because its easy for them to live comfortable unless they throw all their cash away of course like this guy in the story. haha
What amazes me is men like Rick know what is happening and are willing to lose everything over a woman they think loves them. Sad, very sad. I have a Thai girlfriend now (not a bar girl) and while I pay all our living expenses she is yet to ask for anything. If she does start asking for money I will be moving somewhere else very quickly.
Good for you. I don't live in Thailand so I pick up my girls living expense, which is modest, but as her grandkids (11) and great grand kids (3) proliferate it's been going up. Thai social security is only 600 or 1000 baht/mo. Best benefit is the special treatment we get everywhere. It only takes a couple sentences for Thai people to realize my girl has never worked in bars and we are treated very well. They are especially amazed when I tell them I've never lived in Thailand since I speak Thai at a intermediate level.

I agree. As a family physician with over 30 yrs of experience, I don’t see the Asperger’s. Furthermore, making significant diagnosis such as that by watching videos and not interviewing a patient AT LENGTH is not what happens in legitimate health clinics with legitimate doctors.

I've been 7 tines to Thailand but only once to Phuket for an hour or so at the Airport for my Visa run to Kuala Lumpur and back to Koh Samui. So I haven't visited Phuket yet. Thailand has changed so much since my first visit about 35 years ago. Inevitably I would say...I experienced most of the things you say in your videos girls wise but I guess I've been smart or maybe just lucky to not fall for any of their tricky ways. Rick needs to run !! I have been coming to Thailand for over 20 years and I have owned my condo for many of those. During my time I have tried to tell my friends exactly what you are trying to tell Rick. However, they don’t listen and now are broke. They have to teach English and do odd jobs in order to stay in Thailand. I love street food but they have to eat it daily to survive. Rick is not thinking with either head. Please implore him to understand that if someone wants to be with you, you don’t have to pay them to stay. I truly hope he leaves her, doesn’t move to ‘ the village’ , keeps the condo if he likes it and cool his heels for awhile with the bar girls.

The rule of thumb with a bargirl is to 'pump them and dump them'. Getting involved with a bargirl is just asking for trouble. You called it Mark, that house will be snatched right out from under him in 6 months or so. He's going to end up in one of those seedy bars (after a couple of years) in Vietnam sipping a stale ale wondering how he blew his fortune. Life is full of regrets, we learn and move on. Unfortunately this is a life changing event that if not course corrected will result in financial ruin. My advice, with that amount of disposable income, just barfine a different lady every week from Harem, no strings no fuss. If its love your looking for then I'm afraid the age gap will be an obstacle if your looking for a younger model.

It's guys like this that have ratcheted up the financial expectations of Thai women and farangs. It does nobody any favors, is ego fuelled and end result more lonely men who cannot afford Asian girlfriends anymore. Places like Thailand used to be the 'go to' place to find an affordable partner. Rick, I'd like to send you a heartfelt message from CT. Originally from Greenwich, I know the value of being one of the 'haves'. I'm now 58 working in a factory. In the past I have traveled around the world with the military and have visited places in my youth that would make Pattaya look like a church. I have been with women of all types and lived with them as well. I have never married nor had children. In the past five years alone, I went through a 2 - 1/2 year period of being homeless and had to scrape my way back to some semblance of a good life. It takes work. It takes awareness of one's surroundings and it takes acceptance that we don't have to live like the Jones's. To live a good (and in Mark's words, "Your best Life" ), we have to be content in our own skin. Note that I didn't say "Happy". Just being able to smile a sincere smile is enough. I'm not saying that there aren't nice women out there, there are, but you won't meet them in a bar. Those girls are only good for one thing and that's a 'short time'. Notice I didn't say 'long time'. I'm sorry if that comes off as curt, but consider this. You were in real estate. You know the value of buying, and flipping. You know the value of making a great commission after working a deal for a long time. My friend,iIn this case, you are the 'property'. She is the sales person looking to not only sell you off to the next highest bidder, but to stack as many 'extras' on you as she can. That's her business. She takes it very seriously, even I dare say. more seriously than you had to be, when you were selling in the Northeast. I wish you clear skies and fair winds. Great video, after watching these videos before going to Thailand, it makes sense when Mark tells that massage / bar girls don't want to be saved. There are 100 of jobs for them in Thailand, but by choice they chose to work in bar / massage parlor, for the simple reason: They don't give a shit about men, and they are extremely greedy. They are almost professional actors in playing the victim and manipulate men.
Marks friend here had a waterfall of really bad decisions when it came to that girl Kiki (or whatever her name is), it would be faster to flush his money out in the toilet.
Men who end up in these situation has a lack of integrity, if you have shit load of money, then live a luxury lifestyle (on your own!), don't save/marry any of those girls (money vampires)
If you have that much money, take freelancers when you're "in the mood" , you can have beautiful girls every day, and I'm sure it cost less in the long run, and it's more fun as well.
Love makes blind, and that happened for sure here. We can't watch enough of these videos from Mark, it can save a lot of trouble in the long run.
It's very common guys run into girls who is really low level girls, No education, focus is 100% about money (once your money is gone, she is gone too), Girls with shit load of tattoos is a major red flag, they don't care much about themselves, and sure is not going to care much about you.

i think the term for guys like him is "codependent" can include loneliness, self esteem issues, and some think the only way they can get a companion is by paying for it in an out of the ordinary way. there have been a seemingly high # of suicides by jumping off high condos that the prevailing advice became to live on the ground floor, get a dog, and buy a parachute should you change your mind in flight.

I do not earn much. I am 25 and i earn around 60K USD per year. I spent all my savings( whatever much I had) on a 11 day trip to Thailand. I spent most of it in Patong, and just like you say in your videos I am one of those guys who cannot say no, and Patong knows how to absolutely milk that human tendency. I had 3 different girlfriends in 4 nights, and meals, base pay, drinks included I burned through all my money and also almost maxed my credit limit. I am still paying off the credit and while I do not entirely regret it, I would definitely regret it more if I was older and had a greater bank balance, as the girls and the parties(Armania, Illuzion, the strip joints in the alleys, girls from Thai Friendly) would have made me spend all that as well.
I have travelled to a lot of countries but Thailand can sap all your money in a flash. But now whenever( and if) I go back I will watch these videos to demotivate myself from the tendency of not being able to say no. Thanks Dr. Sabean.

I would suggest Rick seek out a good local Thai to seek help from ( temples or spiritual person) to scan his person whether any charm was casted upon him. It is easy to cast spell but more difficult to eliminate it as the creator’s ingredients and method is not known. Like poison . Isaan ( NE Thailand) was formerly Cambodia land and spells are common especially there .

I feel sorry for your friend Rick and have empathy for him as I have been down the falling in love with the Thai bar girl road myself and know very well the emotions that he would be experienceing. If I could give him any advice it would be to go back to the US for a month or more to give himself distance from the charms of Niki. After two weeks away from her he should be starting to think clearer about the relationship.

It's amazing how some guys lose their common sense when with Thai girls. It did take me a couple decades to wise up but luckily I spared myself major damage with careful budgeting. Never went to Soi Nana with more than I intended to spend in my pocket. Luggage always locked when a girl stayed overnight. Finally ditched the bar/street scene for a good find, a Thai girl who doesn't speak English and has no plan B. Downside is she doesn't make a good tour guide and I have to make reservations, buy the bus and train tickets because farm girls don't learn those things. Wish she would eat as much as the Thai girls are supposed to, told her I'll buy her a baht of gold if she reaches 40kg but that's impossible.

I talked with the big law firm in Bangkok 3 months back about a visa for my Wife of 17 years. Marriage visa interviews were a 2 year backlog, tourist visa interviews were 5 month backlog. If you check all the boxes with lots of money and property and good job, and intl travel, you have a max 50% chance. That is what I was told. I very much doubt that a very young single thai lady has a snowballs chance in hell of getting a visa to the US.
I have learned to let people do what they want to do, because no matter what you say or how many people say it, they are going to do what they want to do and you wasted your breath talking to them. Just like a bar girl, these guys don’t want to be saved. Their GF is different. Just leave them to their fantasy. They will wake up when the fantasy is over and everything is gone. 555
Well again I know lots of guys that have taken their girlfriends Stateside on a tourist visa, so who knows.

Question is why is he spending down his money when he could have fun with many different beautiful ladies for a fraction his present expenditure. Logic suggests to stick to 1-3 day rule and you can have aerobic lessons for the rest of your life at very moderate cost . So in order for Rick to understand why he is digging himself a grave he needs to see a reputable therapist who can over an extended period help him understand his personality and inner conflicts so he can gain meaningful insight and than hopefully make the necessary changes. Advise on line generally does not help unless you already know the person well.
BTW the so called white knights are not really white knights as their support of the working girls is in exchange for aerobics and expectations of love. True white knight will donate blood to Red Cross, fund a school in Africa or donate 10 percent of his income to charity without any expectation of reward other than feeling good about being able to help other humans in need.

Didn’t learn your lesson? Not the habits of a guy who claims to be highly successful. As with any woman you needed to set boundaries which you clearly didn’t do. Now she has lost respect for you and she will spend you into the ground. But again, you fell for a very low value woman. 100% your fault dude! Man up! Set some boundaries or cut her loose.
